The Kelty Women’s PK W50 is the women’s specific version of the smartly designed and size convertible PK 50 backpack, the key piece in Kelty’s innovative TraiLogic gear collection. Compartmentalization allows easy organization and weight distribution.
Kelty's women's packs incorporate features designed specifically for female users. Anatomically designed, the angled shoulder straps accommodate a woman's curvature while the conical waistbelt offers finely tuned support and comfort over the hips.
A single LightBeam aluminum stay and an HDPE framesheet equip the Women’s PK W50 with lightweight, reliable support. The pack’s ventilating back panel allows warm air to escape so that you stay cooler while carrying weight. A contoured, padded waistbelt featuring breathable AirMesh material offers comfortable load support. Kelty's patented Scherer Cinch uses a pulley-like system to double the tightening force on the waistbelt, ensuring that the brunt of the weight being carried rests on your hips.
The curved and padded shoulder straps on the Women’s PK W50 also feature breathable AirMesh and can be quickly and easily adjusted to comfortably fit varying torso lengths. The pack will accommodate torsos ranging from 14.5"-18.5". Load lifter/stabilizer straps relieve stress on your shoulders and an adjustable sternum strap positions the shoulder straps across the chest to prevent chafing under the arms and on the shoulders. Side compression straps help you to cinch and secure the contents of the PK W50 for optimal balance and load distribution.
Where the Women’s PK W50 really differentiates itself from other, similarly sized packs is in its organizational features. The large main packbag is accessed through the top when the detachable front clothing pocket is released from compression and rolled up out of the way. This pocket can be completely removed from the main pack to allow fast and light travel on shorter trips, and is meant for clothing to keep your cleaner wearables separated from potentially dirty gear
Additional features include a roll-closure sleeping bag compartment, compression wings and wing pockets, a top stash pocket, an ice-axe loop, key fob, stretch mesh belt pockets, stretch mesh water-bottle pockets, and a stretch mesh front pocket. A lined interior pocket and built-in tube exit make the Women’s PK W50 hydration compatible. Last, but not least, the pack includes an integrated pull-out raincover. And don’t forget that this pack was designed with the other members of the Kelty TraiLogic gear family in mind. The SB sleeping bags, TN tents and PD sleeping pads integrate seamlessly with the Women’s PK W50.
