Designed for 3-season backpacking and camping, the Kelty Tuck 20 Degree sleeping bag takes outdoor sleeping comfort to the next level with an innovative zipper system that provides easy temperature regulation.
The Tuck 20 Degree is insulated with Kelty’s ThermaPro synthetic insulation, which is specially engineered to retain warmth and provide superior packability compared to other synthetic insulation blends on the market. It is easy-care and maintains its high loft, softness and insulating properties over time, as well. Unlike down fill, ThermaPro retains most of its insulating capabilities even when wet, making the Tuck 20 Degree a good choice for overnight adventures wet or damp climates. Both the shell of the sleeping bag and the lining are made of durable 75D polyester taffeta.
Two-layer offset quilt construction eliminates cold spots, keeping outside air from reaching the interior of the Tuck 20 Degree bag. This type of quilt construction is durable and maintains its shape and structure even after many uses. The zipper in the Tuck 20 degree is what lends the bag its name; a 2-way locking zipper, which allows for the user to just unzip the bottom portion of the bag and expose one or both feet, is known as the Comfort Tuck system. This unique system makes custom temperature regular possible, which is great news for those who tend to get hot while sleeping. An anti-snag draft tube behind the zipper means that you can easily utilize the Comfort Tuck system without worries about a stuck zipper.
Other features found in the Tuck 20 Degree bag include an insulated top draft collar and an insulated contoured hood to further enhance thermal efficiency. The hood utilizes Kelty's patented FatMan and Ribbon drawcords, allowing you to adjust the top or lower sections of the hood by feel even when it's dark outside. Sleeping pad security loops, internal liner loops and hanging loops add to the user-friendly feature set in the Tuck 20 Degree. A media-integrated storage pocket is also built in so you can keep your personal electronics close at hand.
The Kelty Tuck 20 Degree sleeping bag is available in Regular (fits up to 6'0") and Long (up to 6'6") lengths. Each Tuck 20 Degree bag includes a stuff sack.

Real Customer Reviews
- Overall an excellent bag.
Likes: The bag is light enough and has nice loft. Construction is good.
Dislikes: I haven't used it enough to find any design or quality flaws.
- Great for Car Camping
Likes: Great value for entry level bag. A notch above a discount store bag. It's not a bag I would take backpacking, but maybe for a canoe camping (BWCA) trip. The long provides good leg room.
Dislikes: I am a big guy, and this bag is a bit snug. The zipper will snag, so be aware of this as you zip up. I haven't taken it out and tested the insulating value, but I am confident this bag will keep me warm down into the 30's F.
- Great Value
Likes: Well built, durable, very comfortable, very nice features. Being able to kick your feet out is a really nice feature. And, of course, you can't find a better bag at this price point. Great for weekend backpack trips and car camping.
Dislikes: Heavy, does not compress well. However, considering the price point, it really is a stellar bag.
- Great for my needs!
Likes: I'm not a hard core backpacker/camper, but I do enjoy getting out at least once a month with my two boys (ages 13 and 11). I liked this bag enough to buy one for each of us after trying it out. It isn't too big and it is warm enough for at least 3 seasons here in WA. I haven't tried anything below 30 degrees, but for this price it is a great bag!
- Value for money
Likes: Can't find anything better at this price for the cost/cold ratio
Dislikes: Packs a little bigger than I would like, even though it is quite light.
Likes: Nice bag, soft. Like the interior media pocket and the double zipper
Dislikes: Not warm enough on a 45 degree night. zipper sticks a little. Packs too large. Might be able to compress more with an extra stuff sack
