Ideal for family car-camping, the Kelty Trail Ridge 4 snd 6 person tents deliver reliable 3-season performance at a budget-friendly price.
Ideal for family car-camping, the Kelty Trail Ridge 4 tent delivers reliable 3-season performance at a budget-friendly price. The Trail Ridge 4 offers easy set-up and room for 4, provides excellent ventilation and even allows you and your family to stargaze on clear nights.
Four DAC aluminum poles give the Trail Ridge 4 a sturdy frame and color-coded clip construction makes it easy to identify which pole goes where. The freestanding design allows you to pitch the Trail Ridge 4 and then move it around your campsite to find the optimum position, eliminating an uncomfortable night's sleep over an exposed root or rock. Stakes are included to secure the tent in place.
The Trail Ridge 4 provides 55 square feet of interior space and almost 5 feet of overhead peak height. Internal storage pockets and gear-loft loops provide places to stow gear and maximize available floor space. Two vestibules offer 30 additional square feet of exterior storage space for wet or muddy shoes and gear.
A mesh ceiling combines with venting in the rainfly to provide great airflow, preventing condensation build-up on the interior of the Trail Ridge 4. The PU-coated polyester-taffeta rainfly keeps the interior of the tent dry and provides UV protection. Kelty's patented ArcEdge construction lifts the taped, floor seams up off the ground, eliminating potential for leaks.
An optional footprint (sold separately) further protects the Kelty Trail Ridge 4 against ground water, roots and rocks.

Likes: Awesome tent, dont have to worry about rain you will stay dry.
Dislikes: Whats not to like.
Likes: This is an extremely robust tent. While camping it rained almost every night and the tent stayed dry as can be. The air circulation throughout the tent is definitely engineered with perfection as well.
Putting the tent up was extremely fast.
Dislikes: No dislikes regarding the product.
Likes: Nice tent! I got this 3-season tent for car camping. It's easy to put up by yourself, stands up admirably to the wind and rain, and is well constructed.
Dislikes: Nothing to not like!
Likes: The Kelty Trail Ridge 4 tent is just the right size and height. I am a 5ft tall senior, and I can stand up in the tent, and do not have to crawl to get in. Plenty of room , and 2 vestibules are an added bonus.
It sets up in 15 min. easy as pie.
Back Country Edge had the lowest price, and their service was awsome.
My tent arrived within a week, with free shipping.
I have not had a chance to camp yet, but hope to at the end of the month.
Dislikes: There is a seam in the floor of the tent. I have not seen that before in other tents I have owned.
It appears to be sealed quite well, but it concerns me as I camp in Florida where it is always wet.
I plan to purchase the foot print when it is available.
The tent is guarenteed for a year, so I have plenty of time to test it out.
Likes: Easy to setup excellent quality and roomy for 4 youth size people
Likes: The tent can easily accommodate my family of four. The kids are very young (3 and 1 yr old) so don't take up much room. Assuming we don't upgrade beforehand, I think this will be sufficient until the kids get their own tent. We had a few nights in the 50s and we stayed warm and comfortable. During our first night in this tent there was a flash thunderstorm that lasted for about 15 minutes. The rain was heavy, but we stayed dry - there wasn't really heavy wind though. I also really like the style of the tent, for dome it looks good.
Dislikes: Our last night brought us severe thunderstorms over and over. It did not hold up. Within 20 minutes the seams around the fly zipper gave in to the water, which then began sprinkling inside the tent. Some water also ran under the tent, which added to the damp uncomfortable. Not a good tent for extreme weather.
I also don't like that it came with a bag instead of a stuff sack. I'm going to have to buy a stuff sack for it.
Likes: Have had this tent for a couple of months now and am very happy with it. It goes up easily and the rain fly is also easy to use. I haven't had the tent in the rain yet, but looking at the seams and the way they are up off the ground I am hoping there won't be a problem. There was plenty of room for my son and all our gear. Overall a great tent for the money!
Dislikes: Haven't run across anything yet, but will update as necessary.
Likes: Just finished a trip with my two girls and I was totally pleased with the Kelty tent we just purchased. Easy set-up, they are 11 and 13 and could have done it themselves. Great air flow for the first warm night, closed the rain fly doors for second cooler night and we were comfortable, and during four hour thunderstorm third night we were totally dry. Tent delivered as promised and feel great about making the purchase. Backcountry's service was excellent in a time when you don't find great service very often.
Dislikes: Only confusing part of tent set-up was that the foot print and tent color coded straps seemed to be off. We easily figured it out as the tent and foot print are more of a rectangle than square and therefore straps only matched up one way.
