A sized-down version of the long-time favorite Redwing, the compact Kelty Redwing 32 is big enough for a day of backcountry hiking or around-town use. A host of functional features make the Redwing 32 a do-it-all pack.

A single aluminum stay and an HDPE framesheet equip the Redwing 32 with lightweight, reliable support. The Redwing 32’s Dynamic AirFlow back panel allows warm air to escape so that you stay cooler while carrying weight. A contoured, padded waistbelt featuring breathable AirMesh material offers comfortable load support. Kelty's patented Scherer Cinch uses a pulley-like system to double the tightening force on the waistbelt, ensuring that the brunt of the pack's weight rests on your hips. When you aren't carrying heavy loads and don't need the additional support, you can tuck the waistbelt out of the way.

The curved and padded shoulder straps on the Redwing 32 also feature breathable AirMesh and can be quickly and easily adjusted to comfortably fit varying torso lengths. The Redwing 32 will comfortably accommodate torsos ranging from 14.5"-18.5". An adjustable sternum strap positions the shoulder straps across the chest to prevent chafing under the arms and on the shoulders. Side compression straps help you to cinch and secure the contents of the Redwing 32 for optimal balance and load distribution.

The roomy main packbag of the Redwing 32 is accessed through a large, zippered front entry that allows the entire face of the pack to open wide for convenient loading and unloading. An additional large pocket located on the front panel provides internal organizational options. Additional features include zippered side pockets, a zippered stash pocket, key fob, an ice-axe loop, a carry handle, a daisy-chain attachment system and dual water bottle pockets. A lined interior pocket and built-in tube exit make the Redwing 32 hydration compatible.

The Kelty Redwing 32 is available in your choice of color options.

Likes: The smaller size is just right for day hikes and is a perfect compliment to my larger Kelty Pack. I haven't had it in the field yet but have loaded it and tested it. It drives similarly to my larger pack having most of the same adjustments. I am glad that I got this Kelty for day use.

Dislikes: It could use more padding in the hip belt. For the price the raincover I purchased separately should be included as should have been the cast with the 65 liter Kelty I have.

Likes: Adequate amount of room for multiple uses, day hike, overnight, flight carry-on. Quality seems to be pretty good as one would expect from Kelty

Dislikes: The webbing on the side for water bottles is not quite high enough for taller water bottles(like smart water). If you have that side pouch stuffed it will be more difficult to retain the water bottle if you have to lean/bend over- Possibly have one smaller side pouch for less interference? I would also like to have a couple straps on the bottom of the bag to attach a blanket or tarp, but cant get everything I guess.
