The Kelty Cosmic 0 Degree sleeping bag is designed for cold-weather or year-round backpacking and camping. Lightweight, hydrophobic DriDown fill and an array of features make the affordable sleeping bag a real bargain.

The Cosmic 0 Degree sleeping bag is insulated with 600-fill power DriDown. Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties, the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel, and despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. The one inherent weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet, but the DriDown featured in the Cosmic 0 Degree bag performs differently. Employing a unique, innovative polymer application, DriDown actually creates a hydrophobic finish on each individual plume of down. This treatment results in insulation that stays dry longer and dries faster, should it become wet, than that in bags with untreated down.

Baffled construction eliminates cold spots, keeping outside air from reaching the interior of the bag. A draft tube behind the 60" two-way locking zipper, a fully-insulated draft collar, and a contoured hood with an insulated hood baffle further enhance the thermal efficiency of the Cosmic 0 Degree bag. The hood utilizes Kelty's patented FatMan and Ribbon drawcords, allowing you to adjust the top or lower sections of the hood by feel even when it's dark outside. A polyester taffeta liner provides internal comfort.

The Kelty Cosmic 0 Degree sleeping bag is available in Regular (fits up to 6' 0") and Long (up to 6' 6") lengths. Each Cosmic 0 Degree bag includes a stuff sack.

Likes: The temperature rating was accurate, I was comfortable down to 10 degrees with long underwear and could have made it down to zero by adding fleece pants and another layer on top, if the temp is over 30 you'll need to open the zipper to keep it cool enough

Dislikes: The leg area could be a little wider to allow your legs to get into a comfortable position

Plush, soft, and comfortable. Very warm at 25 degrees, considered unzipping for ventilation. shorts and t-shirt only, no socks, feet slightly cool, but not cold. I could not have stayed zipped up with a layer on. Awesome bag!!!

Likes: Price point on sale. Temp. rating. Design and fabric (I have the Cosmic 20 also). On the Cosmic 0, I love the draft tube all the way around the shoulder area. The bag lofts really well, it is very plush, and is "Kelty Built"!

Dislikes: Slightly heavy and large for long back packing, but it is actually not an ultra light bag. For a short backpack trip, and certainly car camping, you can not beat this bag. I would HIGHLY recommend this bag!

Warm Nights
Reviewed by Aaron B. - November 13, 2017

Likes: Light weight, compresses down to a small size. Haven't used it yet, but purchased on the advice of a friend who used it on a backpack trip with overnight temps of 5 degrees Fahrenheit and he stayed warm.

Dislikes: Wish it came with an actual compression bag, but other than that none so far.

Great bag

Likes: 0 bag lives up to its name

Dislikes: Would be better with extra zipper for warmer evenings

True to Rating, But Not Lightweight
Reviewed by Samuel C. - February 23, 2017

Likes: Warm, Dry-Down, Looks Great, Soft, Great Loft

Dislikes: Heavy, Not Very Compressible
