As any big game hunter can attest, getting your trophy out of the woods can often prove the greatest challenge of a successful hunt. Designed to carry heavy loads and haul game out of the back country, Kelty's Cache Hauler Frame is a sturdy external frame carrier that utilizes the suspension and design used by Kelty in its hiking backpacks.

Measuring 32" x 16", the Cache Hauler Frame's external frame is large and strong enough for heavy loads of gear or meat. The frame's design provides firm support and increases carrying comfort over long distances. A hinged-base located at the bottom of the frame aids in stabilizing heavy external loads. The frame design provides firm support and maximum comfort for moderate to heavy loads. Padded shoulder straps, load-lifter straps, a sternum strap and a padded waistbelt further enhance the fit of the Cache Hauler Frame and ensure the stability of your load, allowing convenient adjustment while on the move. A wicking backpanel combats sweat and provides some space between your back and the external frame, helping to keep you comfortable on the trail.

Multiple lash points on the base of the Cache Hauler Frame allow for the usage of compression straps or rope to help balance and stabilize your load. A removable blaze orange rain cover found in a zippered sleeve in the lower panel of the frame offers extra protection against the elements and makes the Cache Hauler Frame clearly visible.

The Cache Hauler Frame can be coupled with a Kelty Cache Hauler Packbag (sold separately) for use as a complete heavy-duty external frame and packbag combination.

Likes: The frame is very solid with very good padding. I purchased this pack for getting out elk quarters and have not had the chance to use it yet. I can say with what testing i have done it is very nice. I put a 50lb bag of corn on it and walked about 1/4 mile with it and had no problems and stayed securely in place. Very nice pack for the price.

Dislikes: No complaints yet.

Likes: The Kelty Cache Hauler Frame is amazingly comfortable when loaded with 80 lbs of gear.
A few years ago, I purchased a 50lb inflatable kayak for multi-day hiking/kayaking expeditions. After many attempts, I failed to find a pack that could support the weight and volume of the kayak. Finally, I ran across the Kelty Cache Hauler. I have completed two kayaking trips with it and a half dozen lighter trips. The Kelty Cache Hauler handles volume and weight extremely well. I hauled 80 lbs of gear for 3 hours straight and it was as comfortable as hauling 40 lbs with a quality internal frame pack. If you want to haul a heavy load, this is the pack for you. The belt is the best I've ever worn.

Dislikes: The only complaint I have about the pack is that it is not well known. I stumbled across the description of this pack one day. I cannot believe that more people don't talk about this pack!
