A great entry-level alternative to the low-end tents found at many big box retailers, the Kelty Acadia Tent Series offers two doors, two vestibules and plenty of overhead room. The Acadia Tent Series is truly a cost-effective option for family campers and first-time backpackers.
A great entry-level alternative to the low-end tents found at many big box retailers, the economical Kelty Acadia 4 offers two doors, two vestibules and plenty of overhead room. The Acadia 4 is a durable, cost-effective option for family campers.
The Acadia 4 provides 59 square feet of interior space and nearly 5 feet of overhead peak height! Internal storage pockets provide places to stow gear and maximize available floor space for sleeping or playing games on a rainy day. Two doors offer easy entry and exit points and two vestibules, of 21.5 and 12 square feet (33.5 square feet combined), offer additional exterior storage space for muddy shoes or a protected area to store fire wood or camp chairs in wet weather.
NOTE: The Acadia 4's fiberglass poles are heavier and more fragile than aluminum poles, but wrapped construction makes them stronger than the fiberglass poles found on many department store tents. A third brow pole, constructed from DAC Hybrid aluminum, and continuous pole-sleeve construction help to reinforce the structure and support the rainfly of the Acadia 4.
A full, mesh canopy allows for good ventilation in warm, humid weather and the ArcEdge floor design with taped seams protects the floor for the Acadia 4 tent from wet weather. An optional footprint (sold separately) further protects the floor of the Kelty Acadia 4 camping tent against ground water, roots and rocks.

- Great for the price
Likes: - inexpensive: price wasn't much above the stuff at Target, but the quality is much higher
- vestibule is large enough to hold a few things
- great ventilation (might even be too great; we'll see in the fall)
- strong (poles look indestructible)
Dislikes: - like most 4 person tents, it would be a tight fit with 4 real people in it
- a bit heavier than similar sized tents, due to the heavy fiberglass poles
- Good Product
Likes: Described as advertised. Cheapest price on the internet.
Dislikes: No dislikes at this time.
Likes: Easy to setup and the quality of the poles is huge. It also got really good reviews
Dislikes: The open mesh on the sides, but all tents are made this way now. Or old tent had zip ups for all mesh sides which is nice for blocking wind.
Likes: Price, Good initial quality, Easy to set up and takedown.
Dislikes: Aluminum poles would be nice. The two fiberglass are acceptable but the one steel pole is not.
