Perfect for group trips or family camping the Katadyn Gravity Camp 6L is a simple-to-use water filtration system. The system’s water bag filter and integrated hose allow a single water source to be set up for your entire group and eliminate the need to repeatedly pump and filter smaller amounts of water.
Just fill the 6 liter-capacity roll-top water bag by lowering it into a nearby water source and hang it up using the convenient easy-open/close buckle system. Up to 2 liters of drinkable water per minute is produced filtered as it feeds through a pleated 0.2 micron Ultra Flow glass fiber filter and through a 48" output hose. No back flushing is required and an integrated sediment trap helps to extend the life of the filter. The filter is replaceable but Katadyn is so confident in its Ultra Flow technology that it guarantees that the filter will not clog in its first year of use or a free replacement will be provided!
The water bag includes a see-through window and water level markings to indicate remaining volumes and allow for exact measurements. An integrated carry strap makes it easy to haul the water bag when full. An on/off valve at the end of the bag’s output hose makes pouring quick and easy and quick-connects are included so the bag can be used to directly refill hydration bladders (not included). An optional Shower Adapter (sold separately) can even convert the Gravity Camp 6L filtration system into a backcountry shower.

Real Customer Reviews
- Gravity Camp reconsidered…
Likes: I had initially reviewed the 6L Gravity Camp in August after returning from a 7 day trek to the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico’s Sangre de Cristo mountains. Initially the filter would simply not work more than dripping slowly. After trying several different ways to get it to flow, we gave up on it and used our old Platypus 4 L system we brought in reserve.Upon returning home, I reached out to Katadyn about our issue with the 6L Gravity Camp and they sent a replacement filter for the defective filter. I tested the new filter and it does filter as fast as stated. This filter really moves a lot of water in a short period of time. So, lesson learned, try new equipment out close to home and not have the first time use be in the wilds with a full 12 person trek crew dependent on the “New” equipment.
Dislikes: Only gave it 4 stars because it has not been tested in the backcountry yet.
