Enable your adventurous 4-legged companion to enjoy a night of warm, comfortable sleep in the lightweight, warm, and packable Ruff Wear Highlands Sleeping Bed.
Sam and I are hanging out here with a Ruff Wear Highlands Sleeping Bag. When you go into the backcountry in chilly temperatures you bring a sleeping bag along to insulate you both from cold ground and to keep you nice and toasty warm at night. So the Highlands Sleeping Bag is designed for just that, to keep your four legged friend nice and warm on those backcountry adventures when it is really cold and they need some extra added insulation. He has got his own bed here. He has got his own set up and he can call that home when you get back to camp.
So the Highland Sleeping Bag is built a lot like a regular sleeping bag. You have got a zipper that comes around half of it. And then you have got an opening here in the top. So he is nice and cozy warm in here in this little pouch.
There is an integrated sleeve on the bottom of this sleeping bag so that you can pair it with the Landing Pad. The Landing Pad is just an insulated sleeping pad that will insulate your dog from the cold ground. So when you are in the snow, when you are camping, backpacking in those really chilly temperatures, this is going to be a nice little safe haven for your dog.
Sam is nice and cozy warm in here and he is ready for a good night’s sleep.
The features here include a, like I said, a full length zipper. There are four integrated loops here. So if you have got this set up outside, you can actually stake this into the ground just to have a nice pad there. And then it does come with an included stuff sack. So it packs down to be nice and small just like a regular sleeping bag. You have got a stuff sack here. It has got some loops on there. You can lash it to the outside of a pack. Or if your dog has a backpack of its own, it will fit really nicely into the Ruff Wear Palisades Pack. So those saddle bags are designed to hold one of these sleeping bags.
The insulation here is synthetic insulation. And what I love about that is synthetic insulation keeps its thermal efficiency even when it is wet. So against wet paws, against snow, this definitely is going to keep your dog nice and warm and dry. And if it does become wet it is going to dry out really quickly. It packs down to be nice and small and with that full length zipper you can actually open this up to be a bigger sprawling space or if your dog wants to hang out in it like this, it is going to provide insulation from above and below.
It is a really great, packable option to take into the backcountry and have a nice technical sleeping bag for your dog. It is the Ruff Wear Highlands Sleeping Bag.
