Soft, warm, lightweight and packable, the Ruff Wear Highlands Bed allows your 4-legged backpacking companion to enjoy comfortable nights in the backcountry.
Sam and I are hanging out here on the Ruff Wear Highlands Bed. This is a synthetic insulated quilt for your dog that is going to insulate them from cold ground when you are in the backcountry and you need that extra added warmth. It is kind of like a sleeping pad for your dog. So when you are out in the backcountry in cold weather on the cold ground, you definitely want something underneath of you that is going to protect from that cold ground. And that is what the Highlands Bed does. It offers some extra insulation there.
We have got it paired up with the Ruff Wear Landing Pad. So the Landing Pad fits really well inside of the Highlands Bed. If I peel that away you can see that the Landing Pad is in there in that integrated sleeve. The Highlands Bed has synthetic insulation on the inside, so that synthetic insulation dries out really quickly. You have got polyester material on the top so that is very durable. It is also very weather resistant and water resistant. So when your dog is on there with wet paws, snowy paws, it is going to dry out really quickly and that synthetic insulation holds its thermal efficiency even when it is wet. So it is easy to clean, you just shake it off when you get home. Some extra features include four integrated loops. These are stretchy loops that are on the inside and there is actually little holes, four holes that these loops come out of. So you can stake that into the ground if you want to have it in one spot. Or you can hang it up to dry with those loops.
It does come with a stuff sack, so you can see it packs down to be really small. And just like a sleeping bag, you stuff it down into there and pack it up and got the Palisades Pack here. It packs down really easily into one of the side pockets of the Palisades Pack. So you have got a really great system here to keep your dog nice and warm and insulated from cold ground when you are in the backcountry. It is the Ruff Wear Highlands Bed.
