Packing light doesn't have to mean going without your favorite cup of tea in the backcountry. All the components of the GSI Outdoors Halulite Ketalist cook system nest within a lightweight, hard-anodized aluminum tea kettle.

Balancing weight and performance, the 1 quart capacity tea kettle ensures that even thru-hikers and fast-packing mountaineers can enjoy a hot cup of backcountry tea. An integrated handle makes the kettle easy to use and a fold-away design maintains the compact profile needed to take up as little space as possible in your pack. The wide-opening lid allows you to safely stow the other components of the Halulite Ketalist and even a lightweight backpacking stove and fuel canister (both sold separately).

The Halulite Ketalist cook system weighs 11.1 ounces and measures 6.3" x 5.9" x 3.5". In addition to the tea kettle, the set includes a 14 fluid oz capacity insulated mug, a 14 fluid oz bowl, a Sip-It lid, a GSI Outdoors Telescoping Foon and a stuff sack.

    Nesting set (11.1 oz) includes:
  • Hard anodized aluminum 1.0L Kettle
  • Foon utensil
  • Lid/Strainer
  • Sip-It cover
  • Bowl
  • Mug
  • Storage sack

Likes: Good size for 2 people, no more. Sturdy thing and light weight. Not sure if the set is needed if you have other bowls/cups so you may consider buying the tea pot only (also on BCE).

Dislikes: n/a

Dislikes: nothing

Likes: For me this is a great piece of kit. It is durable and packs neatly inside my MSR pan(s). It is the perfect size and the large opening allows me to easily pack things inside it.

Dislikes: It is not the lightest weight. I would like to see it available in titanium.

Dislikes: I have no complaints.

Likes: Everything i wanted and expected. Perfect size for the individual hiker. Includes insulated bowl which can be seperated. Containment sack seems as though it could be used as asmall sink but i have not tried that yet. If your a dehydrated food guy or just like tea this is perfect.

Dislikes: Doesnt fit very well on the MSR pocket rocket stove i use. Included pork is neat but not very sturdy.

Likes: Couple this with an ultralite alcohol stove and it is a pretty sweet setup. Everything nest in side and the teakettle is perfect for boiling water to cook ramen or the dehydrated field meals. It really is hard to beat a tea kettle for transfering hot water.

Dislikes: Nothing.
