No matter where you want to go or how much you plan to pack, the Gregory Whitney 95 internal frame backpack is up to the task. Equipped with an innovative suspension system, the rugged Whitney 95 comfortably carries loads of up to 70 pounds!

With its load carrying capability and massive capacity, the Whitney 95 is ideal for rugged, extended backpacking trips. The standard capacity of the Whitney 95 exceeds 5300 cubic inches and increases with the use of an extendible integrated spindrift collar.

The Whitney 95 employs Gregory's innovative Response Custom Fit Suspension (CFS) System to provide optimal load-hauling capability. Dual, contoured aluminum stays are bolstered by a supportive cross stay, ensuring that weight remains effectively distributed and the pack maintains its structural integrity while on the trail. A padded, precurved waistbelt offers full adjustability for a custom fit. An integrated quick-release tab allows you to quickly and easily adjust between five waistbelt settings. A chimney-style ventilation channel between the padded, breathable back panel and the body of the pack allows air to circulate and reduces the sweat factor often associated with carrying heavy loads. Load-lifter straps and an adjustable sternum strap further enhance the fit of the Whitney 95 and ensure the stability of your load.

Traditionally, pack body access is an issue in backpacks built to carry heavy loads and large amounts of gear. This is not the case with the Whitney 95, as numerous pockets and points of entry provide quick access to the item you need without forcing you to pull out all of the contents of your pack to find it. Gregory has incorporated top, front and side access points, as well as a separate zippered entry to the lower sleeping bag compartment. A lashed divider separates this lower compartment from the top and front loading main compartment, allowing for organization and separation of wet and dry gear. When hauling longer items or in need of access between the two compartments, you can unhook the divider and convert the Whitney 95 to a single, large compartment. Large side pockets offer additional storage space and zippered mesh dividers in each pocket allow full access to the main pack body. The extendible lid of the Whitney 95 includes a pocket with a weather-resistant zipper for stowing gear and can be detached from the pack to be used independently as a lumbar pack. An additional zippered front pocket, with an internal mesh pocket, provides yet another place to stow gear and clothes.

The Whitney 95 offers a number of other features, including a canted, hideaway water bottle holder, dual waistbelt pockets, trekking pole loops, multiple lash points, and side and lower panel compression straps. An integrated sleeve and exit port make the Whitney 95 hydration compatible.

Available in your choice of Humboldt Green or Trinidad Blue color options, the Gregory Whitney 95 comes in Small (5309 cu. in.), Medium (5797 cu. in.) and Large (6285 cu. in.) size options.

Likes: Comfortable and versatile for the biggest loads.

Dislikes: No complaints

Likes: The pack was very durable, well designed and waterproof. It was used on a very rough back country 30 day Alaska trek. While other hikers had issues, the Whitney 95 worked perfectly even with a 50lb load. I highly recommend this pack.

Dislikes: nothing, it was perfect

Likes: This backpack is great! I like to take a lot of gear when I go backpacking to make my campsite as comfortable as possible. This pack holds all of my gear and then some; all inside the pack! I normally carry somewhere between 50 and 60 pounds in my pack, and the Whitney handles these loads very comfortably. The detachable top lid/lumbar pack comes in very handy for day treks away from base camp.

Dislikes: Nothing

Likes: This is a pack dedicated to carrying BIG loads. It is rated for 70 pounds! Since I am willing to carry almost anything to make someone else's experience better, this is really important to me. I love the 3 ways you have to get inside the pack, two of which don't require you to dig in from the top. The access through EACH side pocket is awesome! You can get at stuff on either side of the pack. There is also a U shaped zipper on the front that allows access to anything you can't get from the side -- or if you don't wish to empty the side pocket. Frankly, I like the Humbard green color. As a Leave No Trace trainer, I like to walk the talk and blend in with the backcountry.

Dislikes: I clip on a camera pouch to the shoulder straps of my other Gregory pack as well as my day pack. It is not obvious that I can do this with the Whitney. Wish it came with a small hoisting elf to get this thing on my back when I load it up!!!

Likes: Great pack, took two-overnight trips into the White Mts., each trip about 15 miles up & down steep terrain. The pack fit very well. The pack carried on my hips well and my shoulders never felt any weight. I am 5'6" and the small fits. Plenty of room for winter gear and the water bottle holders both inside the sides and on the exterior are useful. The pack also has an opening in the front which made getting gear, food easily accessible. The adjustments on the hip belt help to angle the pads to fit your hips. The pack is also streamlined and didn't get caught while pushing through branches and brush on less traveled trails. A friend bought the same pack in large and also liked it very much.

Dislikes: There is nothing to not like about this pack
