Borrowing from Garmont’s alpine heritage, the Garmont Men’s Tower Trek GTX backpacking boot is designed to carry heavy loads, deliver rugged durability, and promote a natural stride. A GORE-TEX lining ensures all-weather performance.
Garmont's ADD (Anatomically Directed Design) fit includes features that reflect the natural, asymmetrical build of the human foot and create a more comfortable fit with fewer points of contact for your boot to rub or put pressure on your foot.
An all-suede upper offers excellent abrasion-resistance and longtime durability. The top collar of the boot and the tongue are both made of stretch Schoeller fabric to enhance comfort. Asymmetrical lacing really lets you dial in fit and alleviate uncomfortable pressure points that could otherwise cause hot spots or blisters. A full rand with toe cap and heel cup bolster traditional wear points and further protect your feet from rocks and roots. NOTE: Because of the all-leather construction, the boot does require a moderate break-in period.
A dual density microporous rubber midsole balances support, cushioning, and moisture-reducing breathability. A FrameFlex Light nylon insole and Alveolen EVA, resin, and felt footbed bump up comfort and increase overall support.
A Vibram New Winkler rubber outsole offers aggressive traction and reliable grip on trails, scree, or off-trail terrain.
Sold in pairs, the Garmont Men’s Tower Trek GTX backpacking boot is available in men’s full and half sizes.

Real Customer Reviews
Likes: Very well made boots. Very nice designs in the boot such as the tough, durability and gore-Tex.
Dislikes: I feel it runs small.
- Great Boot!
Likes: Look fantastic out of the box. The caribou and orange along the bottom contrast looks phenomenal. They fit high as advertised however compared to the picture they fit sightly lower than I anticipated them fitting which is a good thing. As soon as I put them on I immediately noticed the cushioning and support around the heel as if a pillow was hugging my ankle but with much greater support. The toe guard is nice and firm, perfect for protection against stubbing toes. The bottom is comfortable but rigid with little bend perfect for situations in which you can only get part of your boot on a rock or ledge. Runs slightly small in terms of length, maybe order a half size up. Runs narrow also, which happens to go well with my narrow feet.
Dislikes: None so far.
