The Lowa Baffin Pro LL II has a full-leather lining and supportive structure that make it an excellent option for warm weather backpacking. This durability and performance has made it a go-to option for backcountry fire crews. (Note: The boot is not fire/temperature rated).
The boot’s nubuck leather upper maximizes durability and lends supportive structure. The high cut extends support well above the ankle and aids in stability if and when you are carrying weight. A full wrap-around rand bolsters durability and reduces the impact of kicked rocks and roots. Lowa's Flex lacing reduces overall pressure against the foot and gives you opportunity to dial in fit. NOTE: There is a break in period with this boot due to the supportive nubuck leather construction.
Providing support and comfort, a DuraPU midsole with SPS Dynamic helps to reduce fatigue and increase stability. A Balance Comfort footbed conforms to your foot, helps manage moisture, and eliminates pressure points that could otherwise lead to blisters.
The boot’s Vibram Masai outsole employs an undercut heel and aggressive braking lugs to shed mud and debris while providing excellent grip on varied terrain.
The Lowa Baffin Pro LL II backpacking boot is available in men's full and half sizes. Note: To keep the leather on this boot in good shape and to prevent water absorption in the upper for the life of the boot you should apply a leather conditioner or wax paste (both sold separately) waterproofing treatment.

Real Customer Reviews
- Solid and reliable boot. Well made.
Likes: Good support, traction, and very durable. Breathes fairly well as there is not Gore-tex. Have put on close to 500 miles and it is wearing well. Waterproof is you apply Aquaseal or similar waterproofing cream.
Dislikes: Difficult to use a more support insole such a SOLE or Pendag. I normally use an insole to help support my high arch. I recently discovered that my heel would not lock in well when using a medium volume insole. I have have since replaced the factory ones. Going to try to use a low volume or thin insole to see if I can use that with good heel lock and fit. A bit heavy as well but this boot is made for backpacking and alpine and rocky terrain.
