With a supportive frame, hybrid leather/Cordura construction, and a waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX lining, the Lowa Zephyr GTX Mid TF hiking boot is ideal for 3-season usage in a wide array of conditions and on varying terrain.

The GORE-TEX lining delivers waterproof/breathable performance that readies the boot for stream crossings and all day slogs in wet weather. The mix of leather and Cordura makes the boot more responsive than all-leather offerings but you should still expect a break-in period ahead of extended.

Lowa’s exclusive Monowrap construction ensures reliable stability even under the load of a heavy pack. Consisting of a dual-density PU heel counter, a full-length stabilizer embedded in the midsole, an integrated shock-absorbing midsole and a durable rubber outsole, this construction combines structural support, fatigue-preventative cushioning, and all-surface traction.

The Lowa Men’s Zephyr GTX Mid TF hiking boot is available in men's full and half sizes. To keep the leather on this boot in good shape and to prevent water absorption in the upper for the life of the boot you should apply a leather conditioner or wax paste (both sold separately) waterproofing treatment.

Great Boots
Reviewed by William E. - January 15, 2019

Likes: Just bought a second pair of these boots. I wear them on duty as a law enforcement officer and off duty. They look great with jeans and most can’t tell if they are boots or tennis shoes. They are very comfortable, and lightweight!. I have black and sage.

Dislikes: None!

Overall great boot

Likes: The build, fit and traction are all great! I love that they are water proof too!

Dislikes: The only thing I didn’t care for was the insole. This seems to be common in most shoes though. I always replace them with high quality ones.

I may be the expert on these Lowas

Likes: Because this purchase was my 4th pair over the last 8 years. They always fit comfortably right from the beginning, provide very adequate support for hiking in all terrain, (with backpack I wear the Renegades which are a little stiffer). They have excellent traction and are unbelievably stealthy in outdoor or urban environments, (no one hears your footsteps)

Dislikes: I am so sad they discontinued the Grey color, it was by far my favorite.

Second pair ordered and the fit the look the performance/ comfort -As Good As It Gets. I'm very satisfied!

Likes: Light boots rugged profile don't let the lightness scare you off from this being a tactical boot.

the black look like a dress boot & hiking boot both - great military tactical look.

I find the gortex quite cool.

also outstanding customer service -Backcountry Edge has your back-

Dislikes: Absolutely nothing-

Awesome but narrow
Reviewed by Alan M. - May 14, 2018

Likes: Unique look, quality materials used, Goretex

Dislikes: Not a dislike, wanted to keep them, I have a normal width foot and the support cage on the exterior of the boot was too narrow for me, I was bummed.

Excellent mid weight boot. Extremely durable and comfortable.

Likes: Great support. Minimal break in. Very soft and comfortable shoe. Comfortable to wear all day.

Dislikes: Gortex is just a little too warm.

Great boots just not for wide feet
Reviewed by Raymond B. - July 18, 2017

Likes: Light weight, comfortable and very supportive.

Dislikes: Loved these boots but the were just too narrow for my wide feet. After wearing them for one day my little toe had blisters and I couldn't wait to take them off. If I would have had a wide size the boots would have heaven. If you don't have wide feet these boots would be a awesome choice. Great quality, comfortable and supportive.
