Oversized to accommodate larger sleepers or those who like to sprawl out, the Exped SynMat 9 inflatable sleeping pad is designed specifically for year-round use. A built-in pump makes inflation incredibly simple and microfiber insulation bolsters cold-weather performance.
Employing baffled air chambers, the mattress provides a plush 3.5" base of comfortable support. High-performance laminated polyester fabric is air tight, slip proof and offers both UV and abrasion resistance. A layer of microfiber insulation is laminated to the bottom and top of each baffled air chamber. The pad's 6.0 R-value makes it suitable for 4-season use.
The pad has its own integrated built-in pump. Why fuss with blowing up the pad manually when you can let the pump do the work for you? As an added bonus, not having to blow up the pad by mouth means that potentially destructive moisture isn't introduced to the interior of the pad during inflation.
The Exped SynMat 9 sleeping pad is available in Medium (72" x 20.5") and Long/Wide (77.6" x 25.6") size options.
- Innovative integrated pump
- Warm and comfortable microfiber insulation
- Convenient inflation and deflation valves
- Stable baffle construction with top and bottom laminated insulation
- 5-year warranty

Likes: Kept me warm during a mountain camping trip when the temperatures dipped below freezing. Insulates very well. Easy to roll up and fit in the stuff sack. Comes with patches. Seems durable too.
Dislikes: It’s not very comfortable to me, but nothing is because of my stupid hip replacements and my locked up spine.
- Really Comfortable!

Likes: Easy to Inflate and pack. The overall length and width of the pad are ideal for a two-person tent; one-person tent, not so much. I'm 5' 6" and had more than enough room to side sleep on this pad. It's really comfortable and if you're not concerned about pack size and weight, this is the sleeping pad for you. Exped makes quality pads; I still use my SYNMAT 7 pad and its over ten years old.
Dislikes: I really don't have any dislikes other than its pack size. I guess I was hoping it would be a little smaller than it turned out to be. I'm opting for another pad to take with me backpacking just because of pack size and the extra weight with the Exped SYNMAT 9 pad.
- Perfect pad

Likes: It's thick! You won't touch the ground. It pumps up with half the pumps as the synmat 7. I have loved my 7 for 8yrs. Just wanted to try this one and what a good choice. Highly recommended
Dislikes: Slightly heavier. The stuff sack would be better if it was a compression sack.
- Great product!

Likes: Very comfortable...stayed warm in below freezing temps, easy to inflate, high quality construction, Backcountry Edge shipped the package really fast
Dislikes: This pad is probably a bit big for multiple days backpacking but the comfort level is a good trade off
