Likes: It is a nice sleeping pad - wide, long and comfortable (altohugh I used it only inside the house for testing/practicing).

Dislikes: It is TOTALLY not self inflating. The video is saying that after 20 min it is full of air and that it takes few puffs to fill to capacity. Noncense! It took me good 90 seconds to fill it up ... and that was in a warm see level environment.

Bottom line: good for leasurly camping next to a car, not good for most of other things and it costs an arm and a leg ... on sale. I am returning it.

Likes: The pad is relatively comfortable and probably fine for a thin person.

Dislikes: However it is just not wide enough for me. I thought I was ordering a wider model but did not realize that I had ordered the wrong size. I also thought that the pad I purchased came with a pump. It does not.

I am awaiting receipt of the Exped Synmat 12.

Likes: Very warm! I wish I had gotten the chance to try sleeping on it in the Winter. I would say this is more of a car/motorcycle camping mat, or an extra guest mat for keeping at home. It is surprisingly light for its large size. I am 6'1" tall and, vertically, I had plenty of room. However, It is quite comfortable to sleep on, even on my side. It inflates easily by itself and is fairly easy to deflate and pack.

Dislikes: It does not pack down small enough to easily transport: 7" x 28" (the velcro strips on the sides for joining two pads add an extra couple inches when packed). The large size when packed was my only major issue with this pad. Minor issues: A little too warm to comfortably sleep on in temperatures around or above 80

Likes: Remember being embarrassed and having everyone tease you cause your 'mommy made you?' This pad will bring you the same shame on the hike in with other scoffing your overkill pad. But, when you bed down for the night, you will have the last laugh. Yes, the weight is a lot for a pad, but what's the right amount of weight to sleep as well in the woods as you do at home? WARM, WIDE, LONG, THICK, lovely hand feel, built well. Winter camped with some 'z-rest and inflatable' combo folks who all slid off their pair of pads in the night. If you are winter camping, just bite the bullet and get this one. Absolutely totally worth the extra weight in warmth and a good nights rest.

Dislikes: Self inflating only seems to really work if less than a day between stored inflated/packed and rolled. Several days of packed/rolled will likely require a few breaths even after several hours of "self inflating time." Storage sack lacks compression straps/buckles.

Likes: This is one of the most comfortable mats I have seen. With 4" of thickness, I do not touch the ground, even when I am on my side. It is lightweight and comes with a patch kit. Nice stuff sack as well. EXPED has great customer service. I purchased two mats (one for my wife) for canoe tripping. The packed size is large, but worth it for the comfort and much lighter than a queen air mattress...I would recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable map for car or boat camping.

Dislikes: The mat was slow to inflate, new out of the box. I had to blow it up with my mouth at first so the foam would expand. After the foam expanded and set for a couple days, it will self inflate. This mat is too large for backpacking.

Likes: the Exped SIM 10 DLX mats are AMAZING! They are light and portable, yet really comfortable and warm. I LOVE the fact that they have velcro on the sides, so you can put them together and cuddle:)

Dislikes: What's not to like?
