The self-inflating Exped MegaMat Duo 10 sleeping pad provides couples with plush camping comfort in any season. Because of its 3.9" thickness and synthetic insulation, the mattress has a year-round worthy R-value of 9.5.
A self-inflating, open cell foam core provides a luxurious sleeping base. When you unroll the mattress and open the inflate valve, the foam responds by soaking up air, similar to a sponge absorbing liquid. Once the mattress has inflated, you can use the Exped Mini Pump (included), your mouth, or other Exped pump accessories (sold separately) to top off inflation for a firm sleeping surface or let some air out through the deflate valve for a softer mattress. A soft tricot top provides slip resistance and next-to-skin comfort. High-frequency welded seams and strong lamination provide reliable durability and 3-D construction creates vertical sidewalls that offer amazing comfort.
Glues used in sleeping pad construction are often broken down by moisture but Exped's proprietary fabric lamination process creates air tight baffles and prevents moisture build up in the pad from destroying these glues resulting in no loss of air over time. Another stand out feature of the pad is flat valve construction. Separate valves for inflation and deflation offer a high volume of air flow in and out of the pad making inflating and deflating the pad fast and easy.

Real Customer Reviews
- Nice mat
Likes: Size is great for a couple, and is much more comfortable than your regular sleeping pad. The foam in combination with being inflatable makes it feel closer (but obviously not quite) to a mattress.
Dislikes: The hand pump keeps coming off/loosening, so the design could have been a bit better. Overall not a dealbreaker in any way.
- Great sleeping pad.
Dislikes: No dislikes.
- The best mat there is
Likes: This is as conformable as a full-sized home mattress. I have been sleeping on it for weeks and it feels great.
Dislikes: the colour is not the best.
- I love this mattress
- Very comfortable, easy to use
Likes: Self-inflating is great, memory foam core is very comfortable, and I like that the bag is over-sized when re-packing the mattress back in it (just in case you cant fold it down to it's smallest size)
Dislikes: I wish the deflate was easier. We had to lay our entire body on the mattress to help force the air out and then air would come rushing back in if you weren't mindful of the valve.
- Fantastic base camp mattress
Likes: This mattress is phenomenal in many ways. Super high quality, and so comfortable that it could be used in a number of contexts. Base camp, car camping, and maybe even for guests when you would otherwise use an inflatable mattress.
Dislikes: You need to dial in the right amount of support if you want to comfortably sleep on your side, but it's not too difficult. Takes maybe a night of experimentation.
- Amazing sleeping pad
Likes: Incredibly comfortable
Easy to deploy
Dislikes: Heavy and huge
Only used for car camping
- Fantastic for car camping
Likes: Most comfortable bed I have used in my 50 years of camping
- Pretty comfy
Likes: All of it
- As comfortable than my actual mattress
Likes: A few things—uber comfortable, so much better than an aerobed or alike for extra guests, and way better than LE-edition thermarests (esp when two people are sleeping on it). Storage bag has a wide clamshell opening, making it easy to stuff. Not particularly heavy—perfect for car camping, canoe camping, etc. Not a great choice for backpacking.
Dislikes: Nothing so far—it's held up to multiple guests and multiple trips without even a scuff so far.
