Ideal for backyards, campgrounds or the backcountry, the SingleNest Hammock by Eagles Nest Outfitters (ENO) is lightweight, functional and easy to use. The SingleNest packs into its integrated stuff sack.
Comfortable, easy to set up, durable and lightweight, the Eagles Nest Outfitters SingleNest hammock is the perfect companion for any adventure, from taking in to the backyard, picnics, campgrounds, it packs up to be small enough and it is lightweight enough to take into the backcountry on camping trips or backpacking trips.
The first thing I want to talk about is the material here. So this is the SingleNest hammock. It is built for one person. It is about nine feet four inches long by four feet seven inches wide. So it is great for one person to lay in. It is wide enough here that if you just have one or two people sitting in it, it is definitely enough room. So you can relax in there. Not enough space for two people to lay down in it, but it is really comfortable.
The material here is a very soft, breathable and strong nylon material. And the stitch lines here on, you know, all the different panels where it connects to the lines are triple stitched, so you have really good construction there, really supportive. It is durable. It is going to last a long time and the lines that attach the actual fabric of the hammock to the carabineer are nautical grade lines. They are going to support up to 400 pounds of weight and as well the wire gate carabineers that are on the ends support the same amount of weight. So, gain, very durable and very reliable.
Attached to the hammock there is the compression sack for it. There is a compression strap that goes around and this whole hammock packs down into this small pocket. It is stitched on to the hammock so you are not going to lose it. And it makes a really convenient pocket. So as you are lounging in it, laying in it, I could see putting a pair or sunglasses, your phone, a small book, small journal something like that into that pocket and it just makes it really convenient and, again, packs down to be very small with that compressions strap that goes around the outside.
The way that you hang the SingleNest hammock, you can hang it to trees, to two fixed points that you know are going to be sturdy enough. You do need to purchase straps separately and Eagles Nest Outfitters has an array of straps. And the carabineers on this hammock do come with the hammock, so all you need to do is attach to your straps and then clip your hammock to the straps. So they recommend that you don’t hang the hammock more than 18 inches above the ground just for safety as accidents can happen. You don’t want to be too high off the ground when you are laying in the hammock.
Overall the SingleNest hammock is just a great way to relax in the backcountry. Whether it is picnics, backyards, the campground, whether you are traveling or backpacking on multi days, the SingleNest hammock is easy to use, lightweight, packable and it helps you relax in the backcountry.
