Ideal for backyards, campgrounds or the backcountry, the two-person Insect Shield DoubleNest Hammock by Eagles Nest Outfitters (ENO) is lightweight, functional, easy to use, and bug repellent too.
For nights in the backcountry where mosquitoes, gnats and other pests may bother you and bite you throughout the night, the Eagles Nest Outfitters Insect Shield DoubleNest Hammock can offer you ample protection. Let’s take a look at its features.
What makes this hammock a little different than other hammocks is that it is treated with a durable and effective premetheran treatment. So the entire hammock is treated with an insect repellant finish that helps to ward off those pesky noseeums throughout the night. So it is nice, it is durable and it is long lasting.
It has also got a nice, durable woven nylon. It is a nice, breathable nylon material as your material there, so that is what you are going to lay on, that is the majority of the hammock is that woven nylon, good durability there. We have nautical grade hang lines on either end, so nice strong hang lines that are going to support the hammock and keep you upright throughout the night. And to keep the durability, the stitching is a triple interlocking nylon stitching. So it is a really durable, really well stitched material. It is going to, you know, hold up over, you know, years and years of use.
This is a two person hammock, so you can fit two people in here or, if you are just alone, you can take this out and be very comfortable. It has got a lot of extra space so you have got plenty of room for two, you know, or, like I said, one person can be very comfortable.
Its main use is for camping or backpacking where bugs may be an issue. That is why it has got that durable premetheran treatment in there. So it is light enough that you can take it backpacking or you can set it up in the backyard, at the park or, you know, if you are car camping as well, so good use, good space, comfortable fit for the DoubleNest Insect Shield Hammock.
Attached to the hammock you do have this little integrated stuff sack. You can, when you are finished, stuff the hammock down into that. We have got a compression strap on the outside, so it gets it down to a nice pack size. And when you have the hammock all set up, like I do right now, you can have this as its own little pocket. So you can throw in a cell phone, some snacks, maybe a book if it is small enough. But really nice features, some added bonus to the stuff sack/pocket there.
So there are some warnings or precautions you should take while using the Eagles Nest Insect Shield DoubleNest Hammock. It is not meant to exceed 400 pounds. So it is still a two person or a DoubleNest Hammock, but there is a limit of 400 pounds on the materials and on the stitching. So be aware of that. Eagles Nest also recommends that you don’t place the hammock more than 18 inches off the ground. So when you have got your points attached at either side, the bottom should hang, when you are in it, about 18 inches, just to be safe.
So there you have it. For excellent bug protection and the comfort and relaxation that Eagles Nest is known for, we have got the Eagles Nest Outfitters Insect Shield DoubleNest Hammock.
