An ultra-lightweight, minimalist option for day hiking, climbing, or skiing, the panel-loading Deuter Speed Lite 22 SL Women's pack may weigh just 1 pound, 8 ounces, but it delivers form-fitting carrying comfort.
Catering to female adventurers, the pack incorporates ergonomic design features. The hipbelt is contoured to provide a proper anatomical fit and the shoulder straps are set closer together, are narrower and shorter in length, and have smaller buckles and narrower tapered strap ends to prevent chafing under the arms and eliminate pressure points in the chest area.
The combination of a flexible, tensioned Delrin U-frame and a honeycombed, padded backpanel creates a comfortable fit and offers excellent load stabilization. Broad mesh and strategic cutaways in the backpanel enhance ventilation for aerobic activity. An adjustable sternum strap and an adjustable, supportive hipbelt help to enhance both fit and comfort.
The main packbag has panel-loading access. Twin side stretch pockets accommodate water bottles or other gear. Compression straps enable you to cinch down on the packbag to keep contents secure and aid in load stabilization. They also double as a ski carrying system. A stretch front pocket, a small zippered pocket on the top of the pack, an internal valuables pocket, and zippered hipbelt pockets provide additional places to store and organize gear. A lined internal pocket and built-in tube exit point make the pack hydration system compatible (system sold separately).

Real Customer Reviews
- Wife loves the fit!
Likes: We have used a Speed Lite 20 for years and my then girlfriend, now wife used to use a camelback. She was always jealous of my Deuter and since I upgraded myself to a Speed Lite 24, it was the perfect time to get her a Speed Lite 22 SL. She loves the fit and how it works better with her smaller size (5’2). She hasn’t used it extensively yet but I can tell I picked her a good one.
Dislikes: Same as my gripe with the Speed Lite 24, she wishes you could stow the hip belt when not in use.
- Best day back ever
Likes: This day pack is light weight and has plenty of room for lots of gear, including snowshoes and skis. It has large, easily accessible outside pockets. The best part is the fit. It is the most comfortable pack that I have ever owned with adjustments to fine tune the fit.
Dislikes: No dislikes.
