Lightweight options for ski touring, winter day hiking or alpine climbing, Deuter Cruise Series packs combine storage capacity, multiple ski/snowboard carry options and comfortable, load-carrying suspension systems.
A lightweight (2 lb, 14 oz) option for ski touring, winter day hiking or alpine climbing, the Deuter Cruise 30 pack has 1850 cubic inches of storage capacity, multiple ski/snowboard carry options and a comfortable, load-carrying suspension system.
The Cruise 30 utilizes Deuter's Alpine Back System. Comprised of two vertical padded foam strips and a Delrin support rod, the Alpine Back System offers stability and comfort while providing a "chimney" at the spinal column for ventilation. The suspension comfortably accommodates torso sizes ranging from 16"-21" in length. A fully padded hipbelt and anatomically contoured shoulder straps enhance flexibility, comfort and fit. Ventilated pads in the back, shoulder straps and hipbelt help to keep you cool and comfortable on your adventures. Load-lifter straps and a sternum strap work in tandem with the shoulder and lumbar padding to effectively distribute weight throughout the pack, further ensuring stability and comfort.
A lidded, top-accessed packbag provides the Cruise 30 with 1850 cubic inches of storage capacity. The lid protects contents and also houses a zippered valuables pocket. A cinch-closure spindrift collar beneath the lid adds further protection for the contents of the Cruise 30. Zippered access in the backpanel provides additional access to the packbag without the need to unlash gear. Stretch side pockets are ideal for water bottles or other small items.
Integrated attachment points give you the option of carrying skis vertically or in an A-frame position. Wrap-around side compression straps help secure gear externally and a zippered shovel and probe pocket offers easy access to tools. There are also integrated ice axe and trekking pole attachments on the front of the pack. A built-in tube exit point makes the Cruise 30 hydration compatible (hydration system not included).

Likes: Comfortable, hugs body. Men's pack but fit me well (5'7", 19" torso woman). I got the men's version of this pack as it carries about 300 cubic inches more than the women's version. Has every feature you would ever want in a winter day pack (carries skis, snowboard, snowshoes ice axe, entry in front and back, space for hydration system, easy entry to space for emergency supplies, and lots of room for other essentials). Appears to be very well made. Great price.
