The Outdoor Research Women's Transcendent Down Hoody utilizes 650-fill down insulation to offer lightweight warmth and packability that can easily be carried into the backcountry, taken on ski tours, or simply worn around town.
The exterior of the jacket is constructed of wind- and water-resistant 20D polyester ripstop. It is insulated with lightweight and compressible responsibly-sourced 650-fill power down. Renowned for their compressible properties and efficiency in providing insulation, the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel and continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. Due to the high loft and compressibility of down, the jacket can even be packed into its own pocket and easily stowed in a pack. An internal stormflap behind the full-length front zipper, a brushed tricot-lined collar, elastic cuffs, and an elastic drawcord hem enhance fit, warmth, and comfort.
Other features include a fully insulated and adjustable hood, zippered hand pockets with comfy brushed linings, and a zippered chest pocket with an internal media pocket.
Available in your choice of size and color options, the Outdoor Research Women's Transcendent Down Hoody has a standard fit that balances thermal efficiency with the expectation that you'll be wearing other layers underneath the jacket.

Real Customer Reviews
- Not what I expected
Likes: - Fit was spot on
- Fabric was soft and comfy
- Plenty of pockets
- Hood adjustments were great
Dislikes: - Many cold spots - the down would not stay put around my elbows and forearms at the seam, so I could feel cold air immediately upon walking outside
- Zippers felt kinda cheap
- The down shifting away from key areas was enough to make me want to return the jacket for something with a bit more fill and thinner baffles to keep it in place
Likes: Love this hoody! It's very lightweight and versatile. I always stay warm while working in wind and freezing temps yet it's also comfortable up to 50 degrees while being active. Highly recommend.
Dislikes: Fabric could potentially snag I suppose, but I'm careful with it so it's not a problem for me. Wouldn't recommend for use in wooded areas with sharp briars/snags.
- Light weight jacket
Likes: I love how light weight this jacket is
Dislikes: Wish it was slightly longer in the back
- Nice jacket
Likes: Nice jacket that isn't heavy
Dislikes: Fits a little slim through hips
- Great Quality
Likes: True to size. I'm 5'4 126lbs 36 bust and got a medium. I could go with a size small, however, i wanted to wear a thick sweater underneath. Small would have fit the bust area a little too tight.
Dislikes: None so far
