Balancing warmth, weight, and weather protection in the mountains can be tricky, but the Ortovox Women's Swisswool Leone Jacket does just that. A waterproof shell and wool insulation equip it for alpine conditions.
The jacket is both windproof and waterproof thanks to its polyamide shell fabric and its polyurethane membrane. Taped seams further ensure weather protection. Sustainable Swisswool serves as insulation, delivering warmth while maintaining a low profile, minimizing weight, and delivering excellent moisture regulation. Even in the dampest of conditions, this natural insulator keeps you warm. A quilted lining increases comfort as do merino mesh inserts at the chin. A close-fitting, self-adjusting hood extends protective coverage and enhances warmth. An internal elastic band keeps the fit of the hood close while making certain that your field of vision isn't inhibited.
Other features include smart elastic cuffs that seal out the cold, an adjustable hem, and two zippered front pockets that are set high to allow access even if you're wearing a backpack or a climbing harness.
Available in your choice of size and color options, the Ortovox Women's Swisswool Leone Jacket has an athletic fit that is best worn over baselayers and low-profile midlayers.

Real Customer Reviews
- Fantastic all-around jacket
Likes: I love this jacket! I've been looking for a versatile shell and definitely found it. It's light, breathable, and is maintains heat very well. So far, I've tested it in weather ranging from 0- to 50-degrees weather, rain, snow, and strong winds and I've no complaints. A medium would fit but I bought a large so that I can layer and it still fits extremely well. I couldn't be happier with the product.
Dislikes: That I didn't purchase the jacket sooner.
