Using Atlas' Free-Rotating Suspension, Elektra 9 Series Women's snowshoes provide natural articulation that allows feet to comfortably adjust to flat or rolling terrain. This feature makes the shoes ideal for winter walking or day hiking.
Atlas undertook a two-year biomechanics research program to develop design features that directly addressed the unique needs of women. Elektra frames incorporate tapered tails, narrower noses and outside rolling bends that properly accommodate a woman's natural gait. Bindings are molded around a women's boot last, offer increased arch support and use strategic strap placement and padding to eliminate pressure points and encourage circulation.
Elektra 9 Series Women's snowshoes are available in two sizes. The 23 inch length is suitable for a total weight (user and gear) of 80-160 pounds. The recommended use range for the larger 27 inch shoe is 120-200+ pounds.
Supporting natural articulation and cushioning each step, FRS minimizes resistance and offers excellent freedom of movement. By allowing a wide range of motion, 9 Series snowshoes deliver comfort and traction for flat or rolling terrain. Comfortable Wrapp Trail bindings tighten easily and securely cradle your feet.
The 6061 aluminum V-frames deliver an efficient, natural stride. By tracking straight in deep snow and pulling less snow as you step forward, the noses and tapered tails of Elektra 9 Series Women's snowshoes save you energy. Providing lightweight durability, flexible Nytex decking optimizes flotation. NOTE: A minimum base of 6"-8" of snow is suggested for usage in order to properly protect the integrity of the decking material.
Stainless steel Twin-Trac toe crampons employ a sturdy row of front points and side teeth to keep your foot from twisting. By providing sure footing on two planes, Elektra 9 Series Women’s snowshoes help maintain a straight and natural gait. Rear steel Tri-Cleats offer further traction support.
Atlas Elektra 9 Series Women's snowshoes are sold in pairs.
