Built for all-terrain performance in challenging winter conditions, Tubbs Xpedition Women's snowshoes are ready-made for backcountry adventure. Cutting-edge bindings and high performance materials make Xpedition Women's snowshoes comfortable to wear and durable against wear and tear.

Tubbs was the first manufacturer to offer snowshoes designed specifically for women, introducing women's specific bindings in 1998. Anatomic and ergonomic adjustments are made to each binding to provide the female snowshoe enthusiast with the fit, comfort and performance she deserves. Accounting for the fact that, on average, women have a shorter walking stride than men, Tubbs has tapered the tail on women's specific models to be narrower than the tails found on men's snowshoes, allowing the user to maintain a more natural stride.

Xpedtion Women's snowshoes are available in two sizes. At 8" x 21" per shoe, Xpedition Women's-21 inch snowshoes are suitable for a total weight (user and gear) of 80-150 pounds and Xpedition Women's-25 inch snowshoes (8" x 25" per shoe) are suitable for a total weight of 120-200 pounds.

Innovative R2 Revolution Response articulation delivers comfort and maneuverability. This design provides shock-absorbing lateral flex, maintaining your foot's natural position even when you tackle side slope traverses. It also maximizes crampon penetration in the snow base, ensuring efficient control and balance. The rotation also enables the tail of Xpedition Women's snowshoes to drop away from the binding as you hike, effectively shedding snow, reducing resistance and minimizing the fatigue associated with carrying the unnecessary weight of clinging snow. The bases of the asymmetric ReAct bindings provide maximum support for your boot, securely locking the heel in place. The bases are fully adjustable to accommodate varied boot widths.

The frame of each Xpedition Women's snowshoe is constructed of durable 6000 Series aluminum. The tapered tail and technical rise of the nose of the frame enhance balance and provide excellent flotation. These ergonomic features allow you to maintain your normal walking stride, making Xpedition Women's snowshoes extremely maneuverable. A built-in ActiveLift heel lifter lessens the distance that the bottom of your boot travels from the snowshoe deck during climbs. This design improves performance on steep slopes and helps to reduce the fatigue associated with elevation gains.

The SoftTec decking material of Xpedition Women's snowshoes provides durable, lightweight flotation. NOTE: A minimum base of 6"-8" of snow is suggested for usage in order to properly protect the integrity of the decking material.

Xpedition Women's snowshoes are outfitted with the high performance Tubbs Cobra/U-Grip crampon system to maintain control and balance in snow and on ice. A carbon steel crampon located under the ball of the foot employs aggressive teeth to provide optimal traction. Razor-sharp teeth in the toe serve as brakes and enhance performance during climbing and traversing. Micro-serrated teeth in the heel crampon equip Xpedition Women's snowshoes with constant, dependable traction.

Tubbs Xpedition Women's snowshoes are sold in pairs.

Likes: Awesome snowshoes. I got these as a gift for my wife and she loves them. They're definitely a step up from the snowshoes she's been using. Great bindings--easy to get into and secure. Love the rugged construction. We will get a lot of enjoyment from these.

Dislikes: Only one complaint. We both have to wear glasses for reading. When you go out to snowshoe for a bit you don't expect to need them. But the 'R' and 'L' icon on the snowshoes (for right and left) are so small we can't read them without glasses. This should be easy to remedy, and I suspect it is a problem for many, especially anyone over about 45, which is the age most people's eyesight begins to change. This is a detail that matters as our population ages.

Likes: Newbie to snowshoeing. Spent 7 hours over 2 days on varying terrain in the White Mountains. Easy in and out, great traction on steep inclines and descents. Feel great...Love 'em.

Dislikes: No complaints.
