Equipped with a "hybrid-power" design that allows for the use of traditional or rechargeable batteries the Black Diamond ReVolt is a powerful and versatile waterproof headlamp that offers long-distance and close-proximity lighting options.
The large TriplePower LED and its 200 Lumen output casts a beam over 260 feet. By adjusting the brightness of the beam you can maximize efficiency and achieve a maximum burn time of 300 hours (alkaline). While the NiMH batteries provide slightly lower Lumens and reduced burn time they allow you to recharge again and again without having to constantly replace and discard alkaline batteries. Additional lighting settings provide a strobe light for emergency signaling and a SinglePower red LED for preserving night vision.
The ReVolt requires three alkaline AAA or NiMH AAA batteries (not included). A USB cord is included that allows you to recharge NiMH AAA batteries without having to remove them from the headlamp housing. With batteries the ReVolt weighs in at a mere 3.1 ounces. A three-level power meter shows remaining battery life for three seconds when the ReVolt is first switched on.
An elastic headband adjusts to enhance comfort and ensure that the Revolt remains securely in place while in use. The housing of the ReVolt is hinged so you can angle the beam as needed for the conditions and the task at hand. A locking function allows you to prevent the ReVolt from accidentally turning on when stowed inside your pack.
Available in your choice of color options the Black Diamond ReVolt headlamp is protected against water immersion and suitable for all-weather use.

Real Customer Reviews
- Perfect size
Likes: Perfect size for me. good for hunting and backpacking
Dislikes: Can be tricky to use until you get used to it
- No complaints!
Likes: I use this primarily for cycling in the suburbs at night to supplement my front bike light. The beam is strong, consistent, and easily adjustable. I don't use it much, but the red light seems to work well too. Rechargeable batteries seem to work well and last long, and though it would've been nice to have lithium batteries, I love that you can switch between rechargeable batteries and regular batteries if needed. Seems sturdy and reliable, and I'd definitely purchase one again.
Dislikes: Only qualm I've had so far is that there's a small but not insignificant learning curve to all the different functions and adjustments you can make to the light. The included instruction manual is a bit too simplified to really be clear. But you pick it up quickly enough.
- Bright Light
Likes: Bright light; variety of modes; adjustable brightness; rechargeable batteries
Dislikes: Heavier than expected.
- Very Bright
Likes: Many features with the lighting options. Charged easily and its Very bright. This is one great light source!
- Great headlamp
Likes: Able to recharge it with my power bank that I already carry for my iPhone, without worry of carrying extra AA or AAA batteries. Fits comfortably and secures well on my head.
- Great headlamp once you learn how to use it
Likes: This head lamp has a lot of different options as far the lighting goes. Some of the reasons I bought this headlamp is because the batteries are rechargeable but you can also use regular AA batteries, it is waterproof to a degree & you can lock it so it will not accidentally turn on in your pack.
Dislikes: You could probably learn Morse Code quicker then you can learn the sequence of turning on all the different lighting options.
When I got the headlamp and started to charge the batteries, I discovered that the batteries would not accept a charge & were defective. I called Backcountry Edge and explained the problem I was having and without hesitation they sent me a brand new set of batteries that worked great. This is why I love Backcountry Edge.
- Great Headlamp
Likes: Versatility in type/brightness of lighting
variability in power supply
Dislikes: Takes some getting used to the number of "clicks" for each function/type of light
- Comfortable but falls down when running
Likes: Comfortable, fits great, LOTS OF LIGHT, rechargeable
Dislikes: Heavy so it falls down when running
