Ideal for top-of-the-mountain or alpine conditions, winter camping, or weigh-conscious backpackers, the innovative Big Agnes Third Degree Foam closed-cell sleeping pad weighs just 12 ounces while serving as a firm, protective barrier against he cold ground.

The full dimensions of the rectangular pad are 20" x 72" and it has a 0.5" thickness. Its rolled dimensions are 6" x 20". A dual-layer EVA foam design utilizes die-cutting on the top of the pad to help trap warm air and a "treaded" pattern on the bottom to create more cushioning while maintaining durability. This also makes the pad a great option for combining with an inflatable or self-inflating pad (both sold separately) to maximize warmth and comfort in the coldest of conditions.

  • Die cut sections on top layer trap warm air and tire tread pattern on bottom layer creates more cushion

Likes: Somewhat lighter and less bulky than the classic Thermarest Ridgerest

Dislikes: Doesn’t seem quite as durable as other closed cell foam pads
