Utilizing a unique "quilted" design, the compact and ultra-lightweight Big Agnes Q-Core SLX inflatable sleeping pad combines warmth and comfort for 3-season backpacking. An internal layer of synthetic insulation bolsters the pad’s thermal efficiency.

The pad’s nylon rip-stop top and bottom have internal polyurethane coatings for waterproof protection. The alternating I-beam construction provides a smooth, comfortable feel and a full 3.5" of thickness. Dual high-volume technology allows for easy one-way inflation and convenient, super-fast deflation. Larger outer baffles help to keep you comfortably on the pad throughout the night. An internal antimicrobial treatment extends the life of the pad. Big Agnes has rated the pad for use in temperatures as low as 15 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Big Agnes Q-Core SLX inflatable sleeping pad is available in a wide array of size options. A stuff sack and repair kit are included with each pad. NOTE: Always store the pad unrolled with the valve open.

  • High volume valve allows for efficient and easy inflation and super-fast deflation

  • 15 Degrees F temperature rating
  • Antimicrobial treatment inside pad prevents microorganism growth
  • Minimalist I-Beam construction reduces weight and provides stability and comfort

Long works well.
Reviewed by Darshan G. - September 4, 2018

Likes: I opted for the long size and it worked well for me. Packs small, easy to inflate, and definitely thick enough for a side sleeper like me.

Dislikes: Consider buying the bag house because inflating may be a chore at the end.

Great pad for the money and comfort

Likes: Like the higher outside edges of the pad to keep from sliding off side to side.
Easy to inflate and deflate.

Dislikes: n/a

Lighter and thicker than ultralight therm-a-rest
Reviewed by Kirsten I. - August 16, 2018

Likes: Got this because my partner has a similar (albeit older) pad. I thought i'd keep my ultralight thermarest because I assumed this would be heavier / bulkier. Turns out it's neither of those things! Very comfortable for this side-sleeper. Would (and have) definitely recommend.

Dislikes: None so far! But I've used it only 2 consecutive weekends.

Comfy and well insulated
Reviewed by Greg - August 12, 2018

Likes: 1.5” thicker than my 2.5” air core big agnes I use to carry. It is also much lighter as well. Definitely better insulated too.

So nice I bought 2 more to replace 3 big agnes air core I’ve had for years.

I bought the big agnes pump bag for it and makes inflating much easier.

Dislikes: Does make more noise than my big agnes air core, but hasn’t woke anyone up from it.

very comforatable pad that packs small

Likes: very comfortable easy to inflate with pumphouse bag. slightly thicker outer baffles make it a really stable sleeping pad. pretty quiet .

Dislikes: none

Sleeping on Clouds
Reviewed by Cody R. - July 9, 2018

Likes: Most comfortable pad I ever used. Way better than the thermarest neoairs.

Dislikes: I wish there was a 30 inch option..

Somewhat comfortable, takes a whole lot of breath.
Reviewed by Tulam L. - May 31, 2018

Likes: A little higher off the ground, decent insulation, compact and easy to pack up.
I'm 5'2 and a little on the heavier side, the petite fit me just fine, I just wish it was a tad bit wider.

Dislikes: A little too narrow, when you sleep on a hill you're constantly sliding during the night.

Very Comfortable
Reviewed by Bill B. - May 13, 2018

Likes: This pad is lightweight and easy to pack. It is very comfortable to sleep on after a long day of hiking. The r factor is great. Would highly recommend it. I've had mine for 2 years now and have had no problems with it.

Dislikes: Loses a little air throughout the night. Takes some time to blowup, would recommend using the Big Agnes bag pump to blow it up. Pump should be included with it.

Comfort at last
Reviewed by Lisa K. - May 8, 2018

Likes: I love the quilted design of this pad. I've had trouble sleeping on every other backpacking mattress I've purchased until now. Neither horizontal or vertical baffles are comfortable for me, but this design works. I like that it's designed with a little extra height at the sides to keep you on the pad. I really appreciate that it comes in a variety of lengths and widths so that you can purchase just the size you need. I need a wide pad, but I'm short. They have a pad for me! While not as light as the Thermarest Neoair I was using, it's still quite lightweight, and a great pad for the price. I'll happily carry a few extra ounces if it means finally getting some quality sleep in the backcountry.

Dislikes: I wish the pad material had a little more of a fabric feel. A heavier version of this pad exists that does. I tried that pad in an outdoor store, and hoped this one would feel similar. It's just a little more slippery than I would like. The only other dislike I have is that you have to buy a pump sack separately, and they're selling for $35. Since it's a proprietary nozzle, I feel that they should include it with the pad, even if the price went up a bit. I didn't have the pump sack on my first trip out with it, and it was difficult inflating it with the sack that I had.

Likes: Small, lightweight, comfortable, easy to fit into included bag.
Had the opportunity to compare this one to the Big Agnes AXL Air sleeping pad, and was very surprised how much more comfortable the Q-Core SLX is. I'm happy with my purchase!

Dislikes: For the price it would have been nice for big Agnes to include the pumphouse ultra.
