The insulated version of the award-winning Big Agnes Double Z inflatable sleeping pad the Insulated Double Z is just as compact and innovative but features an R-value of 4.5 for 3-season backpacking and camping.
The Insulated Double Z pad’s super lightweight nylon ripstop top and bottom have internal polyurethane coatings for waterproof protection as well as a layer of PrimaLoft Silver Hi-Loft synthetic insulation for warmth. Unique "pocked" stabilizer construction makes the 4" thick pad incredibly stable and ultra-comfortable in comparison to traditional "pool rafty" inflatable sleeping pads. An innovative two-piece valve makes inflation easy and allows the pad to deflate quickly and efficiently. The inflatable construction and a weight-saving tapered cut make the pad extremely compact when deflated and ensure a light packed weight.
Available in three different mummy-style sizes the Big Agnes Insulated Double Z inflatable sleeping pad includes a stuff sack and a repair kit. NOTE: Always store the pad unrolled with the valve open.

Real Customer Reviews
- Thick, comfortable sleeping pad
Likes: This pad inflates to keep you several inches off the ground. It is very easily adjusted and has separate valves that you can use for inflation and deflation. The insulation for camping in the Pacific Northwest which was cold at night, even in July, was very adequate. It seems very durable and it packs very small.
Dislikes: I have had pads that include a foot pump and they are so much easier to inflate than the Big Agnes which requires you to blow it up with your mouth.
- Oh so comfy
Likes: Very thick and comfortable. Good 3-season insulation. Fairly light for the size and features.
Dislikes: Takes a long time to inflate.
- Very good pad. Thick and warm. Comfortable.
Likes: This pad is very comfortable. I like the inflation valve design which works well and allows for easy inflation and quick deflation. At 4 inches thick, there is a lot of leeway to adjust the pressure to your liking to get a good night's sleep. And the insulation does make the pad very good in colder weather. You don't feel the temperature of the ground. I used it recently on a chilly 40 degree night and was very warm and comfortable.
Dislikes: A bit on the heavy side, although for its size and R-value, it's not actually heavy. Also, the outside surface is a little on the slippery side. Though, to be fair, this is true of most air inflated sleeping pads.
- Great pad
Likes: Very comfortable and easy to inflate. Has a nice thickness to weight ratio.
Likes: Weight less than 2 pounds
