The innovative, freestanding Big Agnes Fly Creek UL 2 is an ultra-light enthusiast's dream. Streamlined to cut unnecessary weight, the Fly Creek UL 2 delivers surprising livability at a trail weight of just 1 pound, 15 ounces!

Tapered from the head to the foot of the tent, the interior of the Fly Creek UL 2 measures 52" at its widest point and stretches a full 86" in length. The 28 square feet of interior space provides ample elbow room for 2 backpackers or serves as a roomy shelter for one with a vestibule that offers 7 square feet of additional weather-protected external storage space. Three interior mesh pockets provide places to stash gear and clothes while integrated gear loft loops offer a connection point for the Big Agnes Triangle Gear Loft (sold separately).

Ample mesh on the tent body and a large mesh door maximize cross ventilation and provide circulation to fight condensation build-up. Coated with 1200mm waterproof polyurethane, the silicone-treated rip-stop nylon floor and rainfly are lightweight and durable. All of the Fly Creek UL 2's seams are seal-taped with waterproof, solvent-free polyurethane tape (no PVC or VOCs) to further protect the tent from the elements.

Lightweight, collapsible DAC Featherlite NSL + NFL poles provide the Fly Creek UL 2 with freestanding structure. The single hub/pole design works in conjunction with the tent body's integrated DAC Twist Clips to make setting up the Fly Creek UL 2 fast, easy and intuitive. An eco-friendly anodizing process is used by DAC to treat the poles without the toxic chemicals traditionally used on aluminum tent poles.

If you really want to travel light, leave the tent body at home and use the rainfly alone with the optional Fly Creek UL 2 Footprint (sold separately) for a tarp-style set-up that weighs a mere 1 pound, 7 ounces!

Almost as good as the Copper Creek UL2

Likes: I wish I could give it 4.5 stars i rounded up to 5). Overall, I really liked the tent, but I also ordered the Big Agnes Copper Creek UL2 as well. And side-by-side, the Copper Creek tent wins for me. (see below) But the Fly Creek is as-described and a true lightweight super easy to setup tent. My 3 year old literally did most of the work with some directions.

Dislikes: For just a negligible amount of more weight, the Copper Creek has two vestibules, two entrances, more shoulder room, more foot room, and is truly a free-standing tent (the Fly Creek tends to sag at the feet and sides if not staked in place). I also think the door being at the head of the tent in the Fly Creek is more cumbersome to enter and exit compared to the side door where you can just swing your legs in and out of a side vestibule.

Likes: Light and quick set up. Rain fly worked great.

Dislikes: Wish it came with the foot print.
