We are taking a look at the Big Agnes Big House 6 Accessory Vestibule. So it packs down into this stuff sack here. It includes a completely waterproof vestibule that adds a lot of functionality to your Big House 6 Tent, which we have got right here. It includes that vestibule and the pole that you need to set it up. So you have got really easy set up here. It doesn’t add a lot of weight to the tent. It is a camping tent, so, you know, weight shouldn’t be an issue there. And, like I said, it is really easy to set up and it adds a really big vestibule in the front for either hanging out in or just to offer some extra weather protection. Let’s take a look at the set up and what it looks like with the Big House Tent.
The first step in set up is to assemble the single pole here and to find the sleeve on the vestibule. So we have got the sleeve right there. It is that maroon color. And you want to route the pole all the way through that sleeve. Once you have routed the pole all the way through the sleeve you connect it into the grommets. So you have got a black piece of webbing with a grommet in there and just attach it into that grommet to make it tight. This is the section of the vestibule that is farthest away from the tent. And then what you want to do is find the other side of the vestibule that has the Velcro tabs on it and attach those Velcro tabs around the poles of the tent body on the other side. Once you have attached those, you can pull this side of the vestibule out and what I have done here is I have just loosely staked one of these guy out points into the ground, just so I can get my bearings on where the vestibule is and then you can go around and clip all of the clips onto the actual tent body. So you have got the vestibule attached. There are two grommet loops at the bottom of the vestibule that attach to the tent. And those actually go around the bottom of the poles of the tent. That way you have got everything clipped and everything is secure. And then you can go around and make everything tight and taut and then you are ready to go with your accessory vestibule.
Now that we have got the vestibule set up, everything staked out and guyed out and everything is tensioned and it looks great, you can see how much space you have got here. You have 44 square feet of completely protected storage space. And I have got the front door kind of rolled back. There is the same door on the other side. So if you want this to just be completely open, you can roll back the other side, but these are really big doors, so really easy in and out.
If you just want some shade you could definitely put a camp chair or two under there to hang out under there if you need shade or if there is rain at all. It would be a great place to hang out during the day. This offers you complete protection when you are in your Big House 6 Tent. So with a Big House 6 Tent you don’t have that full vestibule on the front and this just gives all the waterproof protection you need.
I also see this as a great option for people who have bikes with them. You could park a couple of bike under here. They are protected. They are secure under there. It would be a great place for your four legged friend and it just offers all that extra protection you need when you are camping with your family.
It is the Big Agnes Big House 6 Accessory Vestibule.
