Equipped with saw-tooth traction, Atlas Aspect snowshoes are designed for backcountry excursions and steep climbs.
A hybrid combination of traditional and modern snowshoe construction, award-winning Atlas Aspect snowshoes provide traction and maneuverability for backcountry adventure. The snowshoes are packed with features that make it ideal for mountaineering and winter backpacking.
Aspect snowshoes are available in two sizes. The 24 inch length is suitable for a total weight (user and gear) of 100-190 pounds. The recommended use range for the larger 28 inch shoe is 135-225 pounds.
Patented, impact-absorbing Spring-Loaded Suspensions (SLS) keep Aspect snowshoes close underfoot while suspending your feet so they can move freely to adjust to terrain and slope changes. By allowing your feet to flex naturally, Aspect snowshoes improve stability and balance while providing deep crampon penetration for maximum traction. The Atlas PackFlat bindings feature quick-lashing straps that accommodate varied footwear including large snowboarding and mountaineering boots. As the name would suggest, these bindings also collapse flat for easy storage and travel.
In addition to the perimeter frame teeth, Aspect snowshoes are outfitted with stainless steel Holey-1 toe crampons. Sharp ice tips provide superior bite on frozen slopes and in icy conditions.
The 7075 aluminum ReactiV-Trac frames have traditional elliptic noses and tails but incorporate serrated teeth along the length of the sides of the frames to maximize traction. Sturdy, flexible straps allow the frames to work in tandem with the bindings and crampons while reacting with terrain to ensure confident footing and optimal backcountry performance. Built-in Heel Lift Bars lessen the distance that the bottoms of your boots travel from the snowshoe decks during climbs. This feature greatly improves performance on steep slopes and helps to reduce the fatigue associated with elevation gains.
Sleek, seamless Infinity deckings optimize surface area for maximum flotation and cut down on traditional wear points. NOTE: A minimum base of 6"-8" of snow is suggested for usage in order to properly protect the integrity of the decking material.
Atlas Aspect snowshoes are sold in pairs.
- ReactiV-Trac construction integrates the perimeter aft traction of a serrated t-frame with Spring-Loaded Suspension and the flex of an elliptically formed nose, allowing the binding, crampon, and frame to conform and articulate independently with the terrain
- Spring-Loaded Suspension’s (SLS) patented design suspends the snowshoe close underfoot so it can move freely with its intended articulation, absorbing impact, flexing naturally side-to-side, and allowing deeper crampon penetration into the slope
- Built to fit bigger snowboarding and climbing boots while packing flat, the redesigned PackFlat binding features a single quick-lashing urethane z-strap that holds the foot securely and is fully field-replaceable with the included BC Utility Strap
- Infinity Decking: Designed to optimize surface area while also protecting the deck from abrasion, Infinity Decking integrates the deck below and inside the frame with a unique construction that eliminates frame wrap in a sleek, seamless design.
