The lightweight, compact Alite Designs Mayfly Chair offers versatile comfort for camping, backpacking, outdoor concerts, beach trips or backyard lounging. A front “foot” grants stability and can be removed to enable the chair to function like a low-riding rocker!
Sturdy, lightweight 7000 series aluminum poles make it simple to erect the 20” x 20” x 15” Mayfly Chair and allow it to collapse down easily to stow inside a dedicated 11.5” x 4.3” x 4.3” stuff sack. Utilizing 210D ripstop nylon fabric, the chair weighs just 1.4 pounds but still safely supports up to 250 pounds. NOTE: Short-statured by design, the chair sits 2” off of the ground.
Available in your choice of colors, each Alite Designs Mayfly Chair includes a drawstring closure storage sack. Replacement slings (sold separately) are available to give your Mayfly Chair a fresh look.

Real Customer Reviews
- The most comfortable camping chair
Likes: I tried many camping chairs before I finally settled for this one. It is very comfortable, and you sit in it for hours. It packs up very small.
Dislikes: It is light weight for such a comfortable camping chair, but I still could not carry an extra one pound for longer back country hikes.
- Best of all the choices for backpacking
Likes: Light weight and compact
Versatility of use as rocker or full base chair

Dislikes: Sometimes poles slip apart while assembling
- Portable comfort

Dislikes: Slightly heavy for strenuous backpacking trips
- Great compact Chair
Likes: Super comfortable even for a bigger guy. Recommend for most people for light and low camp chair
- Rocker or chair....yay!
Likes: Can be used as a rocker or easily converted to a chair.
Packs down pretty small, good for car camping.
Appears to be durable and sturdy.
Worth the price for a little bit of campfire luxury (got it on sale).
Dislikes: Seems a little heavy for the size, if backpacking with it.
The design of the sling "seat" comes up a bit high on the sides, and can get in the way of your elbows, but this is minor.
- Great backpacking chair!
Perfect height for sitting while cooking on a typical backcountry stove
Definitely taking this with me every time I go backcountry
Dislikes: Sides are cut a little high, and are somewhat uncomfortable on the forearm/elbow.
- Great camp chair
Likes: Very well construction and light enough for backpacking. Really like from leg to keep you off of wet ground. Lifetime warranty.
