Lightweight construction, performance-enhancing flexibility and maximum traction make the adidas Outdoor Women’s Terrex Fast R Mid GTX trail shoe a great option for fast-packing or day hikes. A GORE-TEX performance comfort membrane keeps your feet dry on wet, muddy trails and a supportive, synthetic upper increases durability..
Weighing roughly 12 ounces per shoe, the Women’s Terrex Fast R Mid GTX utilizes adidas Outdoor’s Formotion technology throughout the shoe. This innovative design supports the wearer’s muscular system and helps to maintain posture on uneven terrain and rough surfaces. Formotion also improves fit and comfort by combining several different types of fabrics in the upper, helping the shoe move with your foot better and creating better breathability and weather protection at the same time. Formotion technology carries into the midsole and combines with full forefoot Adiprene + foam cushioning for forefoot propulsion and efficiency. A hinged heel design with a lugged, grippy Continental rubber outsole offers shock absorption during heel strike and aids in balance and traction.
A molded OrthoLite sockliner enhances fit and comfort and helps to keep your foot cool. The over-the-ankle cut of the Women’s Terrex Fast R Mid GTX uses synthetic construction to enhance comfort whle providing stability. A lightweight speed-lacing system allows you to dial in fit and stays secure even while you’re on the move.

Real Customer Reviews
Likes: -Fit true to size
-Continental rubber is seriously GRIPPY! This was one of the rainiest summers down south on the AT & I never slipped even in the wet, muddy conditions
-great heel cup; the support for the weight is impressive
-if adidas shoes typically fit you well, you really don't need much break in time
Dislikes: -while section hiking on the AT, the piece of the sole that wraps up to protect the toe started to separate which makes me think the whole sole may separate prematurely.
-my right shoe leaked in very rainy conditions, even while wearing goretex gaiters
-Because of the leak, I got some nasty blisters which resulted in many days of hiking in Chacos
-fast lacing worked well, although it would get gunked up in very muddy conditions and would loosen up every few miles. I'm still on the edge with that design
I love the design, weight, and comfort of these shoes. If they received an editor's choice award for gear of the year, I'm seriously hoping that I just got a defective pair!
Likes: Shoe seemed to be a nice quality and they are waterproof.
Dislikes: Tongue has a formed shape that was hard against shin/foot junction. Future blisters would be inevitable for me. Returning them. FYI: would order 1/2 size bigger for hiking especially for steep downhills. An 8.5 (my usual size) fit but I'd want 1/2 size larger to keep for thicker socks, downhills, swollen feet.
