Performance-enhancing flexibility and maximum traction make the adidas Outdoor Men’s Terrex Fast X Mid GTX boot a great option for high-mileage day hikes. A GORE-TEX performance comfort membrane keeps your feet dry on wet, muddy trails and a supportive, synthetic upper increases durability..
Weighing roughly 16 ounces per shoe, the Men’s Terrex Fast X Mid GTX utilizes adidas Outdoor’s Formotion technology throughout the shoe. This innovative design supports the wearer’s muscular system and helps to maintain posture on uneven terrain and rough surfaces. Formotion also improves fit and comfort by combining several different types of fabrics in the upper, helping the shoe move with your foot better and creating better breathability and weather protection at the same time. Formotion technology carries into the midsole and combines with full forefoot Adiprene + foam cushioning for forefoot propulsion and efficiency. A hinged heel design with a lugged, grippy Continental rubber outsole offers shock absorption during heel strike and aids in balance and traction.
A molded OrthoLite sockliner enhances fit and comfort and helps to keep your foot cool. The over-the-ankle cut of the Men’s Terrex Fast X Mid GTX and extended-length protective tongue deliver excellent support and stability.
Sold in pairs, the adidas Outdoor Men’s Terrex Fast X Mid GTX hiking boot is available in men's full and half sizes.

Likes: I just wore around the house a lot to try it out. Seems like a solid boot. Like the synthetic for more breathability. The Continental sole rubber compound has the best stickiness on wet rock that I've found - same as Vibram Idro-grip and slightly stickier on compacted snow and ice, though both are slippery on ice.
Dislikes: I don't need this much thickness and stiffness in the upper, though some people may really like it. It makes the boot a little heavier. I prefer some support and like the synthetic breathability, so the Terrex Fast R GTX suits me better, and it has the same incredible sticky-on-wet-rock sole.
Likes: Nice fit and finish. Good styling without loud colors. Lightweight with plenty of arch support.
Dislikes: So far there is nothing not to like.
