The Women’s Vasque Breeze GTX is a lightweight, waterproof hiking boot suitable for any length day hike on maintained trail in easy to medium terrain. The boots fabric and leather construction offers a comfortable fit with little to no break-in period and a speed lacing system at the ankle of this boot allows for quick lacing and fit adjustments. GORE-TEX construction makes the Breeze GTX waterproof and the fabric panels increase the effectiveness of this breathability. Under foot you find a TPU plate to protect the bottom of your foot from the impact of roots and rocks as well as a thick layer of EVA rubber to help cushion your foot on long hikes. The outsole of the women’s Breeze GTX is a Vasque exclusive called Vibram contact which features aggressive high traction lugs at the heel and toe areas. A prominent heel edge provides better traction on steep descents. So this is a model of the Breeze GTX outsole. This is your Vibram outsole, it’s the bottom most layer. Underneath of that you have your TPU plate. This is fairly stiff and rigid but it has some good flexibility to it as well, it’s what’s protecting the bottom of your foot. And finally you have that EVA midsole. It’s quite thick and cushiony; it’s what supporting your foot and keeping it comfortable all day.
