Hi, my name is Ammi and I’ve been part of the Outdoor Research design team since 2004 and today I’m going to tell you a little bit about one of our most popular and longest lasting products, the Outdoor Research Crocodile Gaiter. The upper section is a waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex fabric, which is a really great material, so it’s waterproof and breathable and really going to protect you by keeping water out, but allowing moisture vapor to escape. The lower part of the croc you can see is double-layered, it’s made of a burley outer layer of Cordura with a waterproof coating and an inner layer of packcloth so it doesn’t wear against the boot. The front of the gaiter uses a durable Velcro system along with a very durable, and field replaceable, urethane -coated nylon strap. The croc comes in both men’s and women’s sizes and is really a product that has stood the test of time. So whether you’re dealing with sharp crampon points, sharp rocks, talus, scree, mud, snow, the Outdoor Research Crocodile Gaiters will do a great job on any outdoor adventure.
