The Traverse Pro is available in three different sizes: a larger 25-inch size, the 22-inch size, which we’re looking at right now, and a smaller 19-inch size. Each of those sizes does include a detachable day pack. In the case of the 19-inch and the 22-inch, each of these pieces, when separated, is suitable for carry-on usage. We do, however, recommend that as restrictions change, you touch base with your airline prior to flying. Once removed from the Traverse Pro, the day pack can be carried in a couple of different manners. You see the full pass-through here that would allow you to put it right over top of the handle on the Traverse Pro itself. Or, use that fully padded suspension system to carry it as a backpack. Pretty minimalist, but adjustable and certainly nice padding on the back of the pack. The day pack has a number of great features, starting with just a small pocket here on the front – great for tickets, passports, keeping things close at hand. Pocket behind that has nice organizational features: a lined pocket for sunglasses, electronics. Nice deep pocket. Inside the main compartment of the day pack, the feature that really shines once you get to security. Fold this down, you’ve got a fully padded and suspended lap top sleeve here in the pack – keeps that lap top protected while you’re on the go. But also enables you to run this entire piece through the security scan without having to remove your lap top. There’s another pocket in here to store reading materials or what have you. Back to the main body of the Traverse Pro – a nice haul handle here on top and another haul handle on the other end that also serves as a nice sturdy stand for the pack itself. A streamlined pocket here on the front is a nice place for any kind of travel documents or anything you want to put your hands on. Another large pocket here on the base helps with storage and organization. That’s also nice and padded. So if you have anything that needs a little more protection, that pocket really shines. A big wide opening on the Traverse Pro, a sturdy burly zipper there, gains access to a deep, main compartment. All my clothes are in here.
