Eagle Creek Tarmac Wheeled Luggage Video

Transcript

When a lot of people think of Eagle Creek, they think of the Tarmac. The Tarmac has been a long-standing piece of luggage in Eagle Creek’s line up. Its combination of lightweight, sleek design but still packing an awful lot of features into this sleek design is what has made the Tarmac a stand-out piece for them. This is the 22 inch model of the Tarmac which is designed for carry-on use. It’s also available in a 25 and 28-inch. With the carry-on, even though it is designed for carry-on use, we always recommend that you check with your airline either their customer service or their website just to be safe so you don’t have any surprises. So as you can see, we’ve got some very durable face fabrics here – the Helix nylon that Eagle Creek uses. We’ve also got some reinforced corner caps here. Anywhere that there’s high wears, Eagle Creek has kind of beefed up all four corners and we’ll see more later. We’ve also got this one-touch handle that deploys very easily and can be set to a couple different heights depending on what you’re doing with it. And it stashes right away. So it’s just as simple as a single touch. Back to the reinforced points right here in the bottom, the wheel housings are completely reinforced as well as this bumper on the bottom as well as corner protectors for those luggage carousels. So let’s take a look at some of the interior features of this bag. Again you can see this has a nice, sleek profile. There’s a small pocket here on the front which is good for documents and tucking away things you’ll need for travel. You have this lockable pocket right here in the front. It is padded. You can use this for a lap top. It is fairly deep as you can see. You can stash some magazines or books in there – anything you want to get your hands on quickly, but again it is lockable for safety. The Tarmac series does have a bit of expandability built into it. This is the 22-inch model, so we don’t want to expand it too much or you might get beyond those carry-on regulations, but as you can see, you’ve got a couple inches there so you can let the bag out if you’re coming back with a little more than you went with or vice versa. The main compartment itself has this nice burly zipper that runs around the outside. You can see the size of that thing. And we’re inside the bag. So the inside of the Tarmac has got some really nice organizational features. We’ll start on the lid side. There are two separate zippered pockets on the front – great for organizing or storing something that you want to keep separate. They are exactly the same size. Right underneath those pieces, this can be opened up book style and you have storage underneath that. This is great for keeping whatever you want to keep flat and sandwiched in between the two. This does have padding on the back side as well. It’s just kind of inherent from being the back side of that panel. The main compartment does have a good structure to it. We’ve got these compression pieces that come over the top. We don’t really have this thing stuffed out to the gills at the moment, but you can see how that would hold everything in place. We do have a good depth here. We do have a couple rainwear pieces and some general pieces here. You can see the Pack-It pieces in these. That compression just helps to tie everything together to keep you on your way. Throughout Eagle Creek’s Exploration Series of travel gear, you’ll find durable materials and top-notch construction. Recognizing that things do happen, Eagle Creek stands behind a No Matter What Warranty on its Exploration System pieces. No matter what happens to your bag, even airline damage, Eagle Creek will fix it or replace it for free.
