Mountainsmith Apex 75 Internal Frame Backpack

Transcript

Hi I’m Jay Getzel, National Sales Manager with Mountainsmith, here today to talk about the Apex 75. Part of our all-terrain backpack line, it is a pack that is loaded with technical features and clearly outperforms its price tag. The Apex 75 will expand up to about 95 liters and offers between 4500 and 5500 cubic inches of storage space and does all that in a 5-pound, 1-ounce package. The Apex 75 is a perfect all-season workhorse pack. The Apex 75 offers numerous ways to access the interior of the pack via the traditional top-load access with the included spindrift collar. You’ve got bottom access for sleeping bag storage with an included shelf that is removable to divide the bag into two different halves, as well as full side pockets and a number ten waterproof zipper for access to the interior of the pack to always get at that one piece that you’ve lost just in the perfect spot where it’s not accessible from the top or the bottom. The side access zipper gives you an easy way into the pack. To round out the features, you’ve got this great Spandura pocket on the front panel that makes a great spot to shove an accessory or an added piece of gear for quick access while out in the backcountry. The Mountainsmith all-terrain line utilizes our load-dispersion technology suspension system that incorporates two aluminum stays behind a compression-molded backpanel and offers 17-22 inches of adjustable torso length. It’s conveniently operated with a tri-glide buckle that hides behind the padded waistbelt and corresponds to the opposite shoulder strap that allows for adjustability. Conveniently located on the shoulder strap, is a red, nylon webbing and a hypalon strip with indicator dots to allow the user to get the perfect fit and ensure that each shoulder strap is adjusted appropriately. In addition and for added convenience, we’ve included some instructions on the underside of the top pocket that give not only fit but loading instructions for your Mountainsmith all-terrain pack. A unique feature of the Apex 75 and some other pieces within the Mountainsmith all-terrain line is what we refer to as our SlingShot top pocket system. The SlingShot top pocket utilizes some included hardware both on the front and the rear of the pack and allows you to easily remove the top pocket, join these two rear straps together, and turn this into a convenient little shoulder bag. Like the rest of Mountainsmith’s all-terrain camera bag and lumbar pack line, the Mountainsmith Apex 75 utilizes our proprietary ReDura fabric which is a durable environmentally friendly fabric manufactured from recycled water bottles.
