This is the GoLite Adrenaline 20 degree sleeping bag. This bag is all about thermal efficiency at an ultralight weight. GoLite has included some innovative features that have garnered this bag both a Backpacker Magazine Editors Choice Award, and an Outside Magazine Gear of the Year Award. Let’s take a look at some of its features. One of the most easily recognizable features about this bag is the zipper which is located in the center of the bag and is three-quarter length. This helps the bag stay nice and efficient while being lightweight. The baffles on the bag are also sewn both vertically and horizontally. This helps distribute the down and distribute the heat within the bag as well. This bag is filled with 800 fill power down which is very high quality down. Down is susceptible to moisture, but GoLite has taken care of this by treating the ripstop nylon shell with a DWR finish to help with some weather resistance and the contrasting black colored fabric at both the foot-box and the hood is Pertex Endurance fabric which is both waterproof and breathable. You don’t have to sacrifice comfort for the lightweight of the Adrenaline 20. I’ve stuff out the footbox so that you can see the trapezoidal shape. This is a more ergonomic shape and it gives you good room for your feet at the bottom of the bag. You also get a fully sewn baffle behind the zipper to eliminate cold spots as well as a baffle around the inside of the hood, and dual drawcords so that you can cinch down the hood and keep heat inside the bag. With all of these features to reduce weight and improve efficiency, I am sure that you want to know, “What does it weight?” Well, the Adrenaline 20 is available in a regular length that will accommodate users up to 6’ tall and weighs in at 1 lb. 14 oz. If you are a little bit taller than 6 foot, but under 6’ 6”, you can use the long length bag that weighs in at a mere 2 lbs. 2 oz. Both Bags include a cotton storage sack for when the bag is in storage and also a sil-nylon stuff sack. This is how small it packs down. So sums up the GoLite Adrenaline 20.
