Solid construction in a durable, lightweight and waterproof package, the Vasque Vector WP hiking boot is a good option for beginner hikers or those seeking simple waterproof protection at an affordable price. A UltraDry membrane offers waterproof protection while abrasion-resistant mesh, waterproof suede and rubber toe and heel rands offer protection from rough trails.
Under foot you'll find a thick layer of EVA rubber to help cushion your foot on long hikes. Vasque uses their Perpetuum last which creates a good fit for steady, long distance hiking and the straighter line of this design is comfortable for flatter feet. The rubber outsole of the Vector WP is a Vasque exclusive called Quest which features a heel edge to provide better traction on steep descents.
Sold in pairs, the Vasque Vector WP hiking boot is available in full and half sizes. To keep the leather on this boot in good shape and to prevent water absorption in the upper for the life of the boot you should apply a fabric and leather conditioner as well as a waterproofing treatment (both sold separately).
