New for 2009! The Tubbs FLEX TRK 24 Snowshoe Starter Kit has everything a man needs to get started in the growing sport of snowshoeing. The kit includes a pair of FLEX TRK 24 snowshoes, a pair adjustable aluminum snowshoe poles and a pair of protective gaiters.
Ideal for first-time users, value-conscious snowshoers or dedicated walkers who don’t want to be stuck inside all winter long, the FLEX TRK 24 snowshoe delivers excellent traction and integrated shock absorption for trail walking in hard-packed and icy conditions. Tubbs FLEX TRK 24 snowshoes are suitable for all weights in packed snow. NOTE: In powdery conditions FLEX TRK 24 shoes are best used for a maximum weight of 190 lbs (includes gear and user).
The FLEX TRK 24’s molded Torsion Deck increases articulation throughout the body of the shoe, allowing it to truly flex with your stride to enhance both traction and maneuverability. The use of "cutaways" and thinner material at either end of the shoes keeps weight to a minimum while maintaining flotation. The unique Tubbs FLEX Tail absorbs the shock of heel strikes, reducing stress on your joints and further enabling you to maintain a natural, comfortable stride. Asymmetric Quick-FLEX bindings provide maximum support for your boot, securely locking the heel in place. The base is adjustable to accommodate varying footwear up to Men’s size 13 boots.
FLEX TRK 24 snowshoes are outfitted with carbon steel toe crampons and micro-serrated 3D curved Traction Rails. Snow Brakes on the rear of the deck prevent slipping and provide confident downhill traction.
The pair of Tubbs lightweight, 2-part adjustable (105-130 cm), aluminum snowshoe poles lends security and stability on any and all types of terrain. By incorporating arm movements into your snowshoeing activities, you can turn your adventure into a total body fitness workout. The poles also include a powder basket and nylon web straps.
Also included is a pair of water resistant, breathable nylon gaiters. Enjoy your outdoor experience keeping snow and moisture from finding its way into your boots. Stay dry all day long!
