Providing lightweight, ergonomic comfort and enhanced traction, Tubbs FLEX Series snowshoes are specifically designed to outperform traditional snowshoes in hard-packed and icy conditions. Built for the female adventurer who is intent on tackling technical winter terrain and wind-packed alpine conditions, the FLEX ALP 22 Women’s snowshoe delivers excellent traction and integrated shock absorption. A built-in heel lifter makes the FLEX ALP 22 Women’s shoe especially effective for ascents and steep inclines.

Tubbs was the first manufacturer to offer snowshoes designed specifically for women, introducing women's specific bindings in 1998. Anatomic and ergonomic adjustments are made to each binding to provide the female snowshoe enthusiast with the fit, comfort and performance she deserves. Accounting for the fact that, on average, women have a shorter walking stride than men, Tubbs has tapered the tail on women's specific models to be narrower than the tails found on men's snowshoes, allowing the user to maintain a more natural stride.

The FLEX ALP 22 Women’s molded Torsion Deck increases articulation throughout the body of the shoe, allowing it to truly flex with your stride to enhance both traction and maneuverability. The use of "cutaways" and thinner material at either end of the shoes keeps weight to a minimum while maintaining flotation. The unique Tubbs FLEX Tail absorbs the shock of heel strikes, reducing stress on your joints and further enabling you to maintain a natural, comfortable stride. Asymmetric ActiveFLEX bindings provide maximum support for your boot, securely locking the heel in place. The base is fully adjustable to accommodate varying footwear ranging from Women’s sizes 5-11. A built-in ActiveLift heel lifter lessens the distance that the bottom of your boot travels from the snowshoe deck of the FLEX ALP 22 Women’s shoe during climbs. This design improves performance on steep slopes and helps to reduce the fatigue associated with elevation gains.

FLEX ALP 22 Women's snowshoes are outfitted with Viper 2.0 carbon steel toe crampons for maximum traction and responsiveness. In addition, micro-serrated 3D curved Traction Rails and tail traction further enhance traction and deliver superior grip for uphill climbs and side-hill traverses. Rear Snow Brakes help to prevent slipping and provide confident downhill traction.

Sold in pairs, Tubbs FLEX ALP 22 Women’s snowshoes are suitable for all weights in packed snow. NOTE: In powdery conditions FLEX ALP 22 Women’s shoes are best used for a maximum weight of 165 lbs (includes gear and user).
