Product Highlights

Specifically designed for cost-conscious, ounce-counting backpackers, the Therm-a-Rest Z-Lite Sol is a super compact, closed-cell foam pad. Dual density foam provides a soft sleeping surface and a durable bottom while a heat-reflective coating directs heat back to your body for increased warmth.

A compact accordion-style design makes the Z-Lite Sol quick and easy to pack. The egg carton pattern enhances comfort and traps air underneath your sleeping bag, providing extra warmth. The thermal reflective barrier helps you retain heat while bouncing cold surface air back to the ground. This also makes the Z-Lite Sol a great option for pairing with another inflatable or self-inflating pad (sold separately) for maximum warmth and comfort in snow or cold weather.

The Therm-a-Rest Z-Lite Sol is available in Small (20" x 47" x 0.75") and Regular (20" x 72" x 0.75") size options.

Sizes available: Regular, Small

Therm-a-Rest part numbers: 06670, 06669

Likes: Light weight, durable, and warmer then older versions. Doesn't pop or deflate because it's a durability foam. I highly recommend this product!

Dislikes: A little big and square when folded up.

Likes: It's like RidgeRest, but more compact.
Very light, can be used below 0C.

    Dislikes: nothing

Likes: Perfect light weight sleep mat. Have used on overnight trips as well as multi day backpacking trips in the Eastern Sierras.

Dislikes: Nothing to dislike about this mat.

  • Mike B. Raleigh NC
    10/23/2013

Likes: Great pad if you are looking for one that is light weight, puncture proof, and has great thermal properties.

It's a little bulky and thin compared to the highly compressible and thicker inflatable pads, but puncture and these pads are flatter than if you had the Therm-a-Rest Z-Lite.

    Dislikes: Nothing really.

Likes: Easy to break down. The rollup ones are horrible to pack away. And the reflective size up makes it was as can be

Dislikes: A bit long I should have went with the small. I really only needed it to keep my core off the ground.

Likes: Oh baby it's cold outside! But not in your down sleeping bag with an air mattress laying on top of a Therm-a-Rest Closed Cell foam sleeping pad.Of course all of this is going down inside your cozy tent and/or bivy bag.

    Dislikes: Nothing!

  • Duane T. Worthington OH

Likes: As advertised, it really does seem to reflect body heat back to you. First time I used this, it nearly made my bag too warm! Surprisingly comfortable for such a thin pad.

    Dislikes: Nothing yet.

Likes: Amazed by how much cushion comes from such a thin pad. Even better when used with an air mat.

Dislikes: Seems like some of the foil is starting to flak off... I'll have to see how it holds up over time.

  • Dylan G. Costa Mesa CA

Likes: Its a high quality, very light, sleeping pad that works just as it is intended. I was forced to sleep over rocks, and with this pad and a little whiskey, I slept like a baby.

    Dislikes: nothin.
