Appealing to ounce-counting backpackers, the down-filled Therm-a-Rest Haven 20 Degree sleep system is a unique, zipperless design that saves weight while maximizing thermal efficiency. A packed size of 6" x 9" ensures that there's plenty of room for other gear in your backpack.
The Haven 20 Degree is insulated with 700 fill goose down. Renowned for their compressible properties and efficiency in providing insulation, the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel and, despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available.
The rear-entry design of the Haven 20 Degree eliminates zippers and other traditional cold entry points in other sleeping bags. An elasticized opening connects the Haven 20 Degree directly to a tapered or mummy-shaped sleeping pad (sold separately). If you're using a larger pad or mattress, easy to use straps (included) enable you to lash the Haven 20 Degree in place. This design feature helps the Haven 20 Degree shed weight by relying on the inherent warmth of the pad and eliminating the unnecessary fabric and insulation on the bottom of the bag. NOTE: The Haven 20 Degree is not to be used without a sleeping pad as doing so will greatly reduce the temperature rating of the sleep system.
Horizontal boxed-baffle construction helps to prevent cold spots and distribute insulation throughout the Haven 20 Degree. A fully insulated, contoured hood helps reduce heat loss and keeps your head warm and comfortable. Enhancing comfort and warmth, a fully enclosed foot box creates ergonomic, insulated space for your feet. A chest pocket keeps headlamps, hats, gloves or even an MP3 player within easy reach.
The Therm-a-Rest Haven 20 Degree sleep system is available in Reg (fits up to 5'10") and Long (fits to 6' 4") lengths. A stuff sack is included.
