Product Highlights

Ultra-soft and expandable, the Therm-a-Rest Compressible Pillow is ideally suited for travel and family camping. Fully compressed, the pillow takes up surprisingly little room in your car, pack or luggage and fluffs up quickly to provide a comfortable headrest.

Note: To optimize the loft of the Therm-a-Rest Pillow's compressible fill, it is advisable to fluff the pillow by running it in your dryer for 10 minutes before use. Storing the pillow in an uncompressed fashion when not in use will extend the life expectancy of the fill's loft.

The Therm-a-Rest Compressible Pillow is available in your choice of size and pattern style.

Styles available: L Denim, L Nightsky, L Poppy, M Denim, M Nightsky, M Poppy, S Denim, S Nightsky, S Poppy, XL Denim, XL Poppy

Likes: These pillows are fantastic. The small size is just right for on an airplane, camping, or even at home. It doesn't collapse super-small (prob 1/4-1/5 of full size), but for the superb comfort, well worth the extra space. I took several on travel/camping right out of the box and thought they were great, but when I got home and threw them directly in the washer/dryer, they were even better (fluffier) after. I now have three - wife loves them too.

Dislikes: Could be too much for backpacking for some, but the small size would not be an unreasonable addition to a pack.

Likes: compresses nicely and only takes about 10 minutes to be fully expanded once it is deployed

Dislikes: a little difficult to compress in its pocket

Likes: This pillow made my last camping trip much more comfortable - the large size provided a lot of soft support. The pillow fluffs up well when unfolded.

Dislikes: As others have noted, the large size is probably not suitable for a backpacking trip where space is of a premium, but this size is great for car camping or for shorter trips where you might have more room.

Likes: Comfortable size. Fluffs up really well after a little while.

Dislikes: Doesn't compact all that much. Not good for extended backpacking trips... better for 1-2 day trips when you're willing to sacrifice pack space for comfort.

Likes: Works well doesnt pack up really small but didnt expect it to. Makes a nice pillow better then sleeping on cloths.

Dislikes: Wish it could pack up smaller but thats kinda hard with out being inflatable.

Likes: Best backpacking/camping pillow I've used. I couldn't sleep comfy while backpacking until I got this pillow.

Dislikes: Takes a little time to fluff up, may need to toss in dryer every now and then to get "fullness" back to 100%. Wish it can pack down just a little smaller, can be bulky.

Likes: Everything! Just tried it out and it is the greatest travel pillow. Many are really hard when inflated and your head rolls off. However, the softer ones often leave you actually more uncomfortable than nothing at all. This is just right.

    Dislikes: Nothing! Great product.

Likes: Just as comfortable, if not more comfortable then the pillow you sleep on at home. Not only that but compresses relatively small as well. Not for the hardcore backpacker, but anyone who enjoys a good night sleep out in the woods will love this pillow.

Dislikes: A little hefty but a welcome sacrifice for the comfort in my opinion.

Likes: I got the Small size (12" x 16"), and am very impressed. Great for backpacking, car camping, or just to keep in the car. Plenty soft and fluffy when uncompressed, and the built-in sack is a great touch.

Dislikes: I actually wish they had it in an Extra Small size (perhaps 10" x 14" or 10" x 12); this would still serve most people well enough, and be even better for backpacking use.

Likes: Comfortable pillow that is just the right size for backpacking. It rolls into a compact size that does not take up much room in a pack. It fits perfectly in my sleeping bag hood pocket. I felt like I was on my pillow back home.

Dislikes: The only minor drawback that I could find is that the pillow "pancaked" on the side in which I was sleeping during the night. However, I just rolled onto the other side and problem was solved.

Likes: Compressed it in with my sleeping bag. Worked like a charm for its size

Dislikes: does not get your head off the ground much, but still comfortable.

Likes: Product is thick and comfortable, and I liked that it is washable. Good for somebody with plenty of extra space in their backpack, car campers, or somebody who needs a very large pillow.

Dislikes: Unfortunately, I could not find compressed dimensions on the website anywhere. The medium, which had regular dimensions that fit perfectly in my sleeping bag pillow pocket, was still extremely large when compressed. The best I could do was 14" L x 3.5" diameter. I think I am going to give the Exped ComfortFoam Pillow a try. Weight is the same, but packed size is roughly half. Wish the packed sizes were listed in the specifications.

Dislikes: It would be nice to have more color choices. The colors are a little bizarre.

Likes: My partner and I both love these pillows. We've had ours for about a year, and can't imagine using anything else now. They pack down reasonably small and are amazingly comfortable. We always make room for taking these along - whether it's in a backpack for sleeping in the backcountry, or in a suitcase for staying in a hotel. We don't go anywhere overnight without them.

Dislikes: It's somewhat difficult and time consuming to get them completely dry after washing. I've accidentally slept on a wet pillow out in the wilderness a couple times because of this.

Likes: Very comfortable pillow; reasonably lightweight.

Dislikes: Compressable, but still fairly bulky for backpacking.

Likes: I LOVE this pillow. Last year I got a small one for traveling and camping. I've taken it everywhere on every car and air trip this year. I liked it so much I started sleeping on it at home, so I decided to get a large one. The large one has not let me down. I use it at home without a pillow case. I find it to be more comfortable than expensive down and synthetic pillows from department stores. It molds around my head and neck so there are no high pressure points on my cheek bones or the crown of my head. It's the only pillow I can comfortably sleep on when I have a headache. I love that I can wash the whole pillow, and I do it frequently. It folds down small and fluffs right up.

Dislikes: Nothing really that I don't like about it. Maybe it would be cuter if the patern was on both sides, but it's not a big deal.

Likes: The pillow is very easy to roll up and it is comfortable to use. I would recommend following the instructions to wash the pillow before use. The pillow is more comfortable after washing.

    Dislikes: Nothing
