Therm-a-Rest patented the first self-inflating mattress way back in 1972. The 40th Anniversary Edition pad looks retro with its throwback logo and color, but its interior uses modern advances to provide comfort, packability and warmth.
The 40th Anniversary Edition pad incorporates cutting-edge foams and fabrics, as well as innovative die-cutting to keep weight and packed size to a minimum. Interior foam provides a full two inches of cushioned support. Together these features equip the 40th Anniversary Edition pad with a warm 4.0 R-value. Lightweight and durable fabrics provide durability and a textured surface keeps you on the pad at night.
A self-inflating design allows you to simply unroll the 40th Anniversary Edition pad and open the integrated air valve. The pad's open-celled foam responds by soaking up air, similar to a sponge absorbing liquid. Once the 40th Anniversary Edition pad has inflated, you can adjust the firmness by adding a few puffs of air or pressing down lightly on the pad to release air.
The Therm-a-Rest 40th Anniversary Edition sleeping pad is available in Small (20" x 47"), Regular (20" x 72") and Large (25" x 77") size options. Therm-a-Rest includes a stuff sack and a repair kit with every 40th Anniversary Edition pad.
