New for 2008! An environmentally-friendly alternative to traditional sleeping bags, the Sierra Designs Verde 20 Degree is made almost entirely of sustainable, recycled materials. In addition to being constructed of "green" materials, the Verde 20 Degree offers reliable 3-season performance for backpacking or camping.

The Verde 20 Degree is insulated with Climashield Green, a soft, compressible synthetic fill made entirely from reclaimed materials. Unlike down fill, Climashield Green insulation is water-resistant and provides warmth even when wet. This is particularly important if you'll be backpacking or camping in wet climates.

Both the shell and the liner of the Verde 20 Degree are made from recycled materials. The shell is made of EcoSensor polyester, a high-performance fabric made from recycled textiles and reclaimed bottles. The Verde 20 Degree's innovative Cocano liner is a mixture of recycled polyester and, believe it or not, coconut! This fabric makes the interior of the Verde 20 Degree surprisingly soft and comfortable.

An ergonomic hood with a drawstring cinch adds to the Verde 20 Degree's compact silhouette and aids in insulation. A fully-insulated draft tube sewn behind the zipper keeps cold air from reaching the inside of the sleeping bag. An ergonomically shaped footbox adds to thermal efficiency and keeps toes from feeling cramped.

Full of features, the Verde 20 Degree has a built-in pillow pocket inside the hood of the sleeping bag, a zippered valuables pocket and integrated pad locks to keep you from rolling off of your sleeping pad while you sleep. Sierra Designs' innovative snag-free zipper tracks protect the liner by creating a barrier which prevents stuck zippers.

The Sierra Designs Verde 20 Degree sleeping bag is available in Regular (fits up to 6'0") and Long (fits up to 6'6") lengths. A stuff sack is included.
